@nitrorallyking the plastics are ok and they are manufactured in japan, the only probs is that the fuel tanks dont have a great seal meaning it leaks fuel a light bit. When i got mine it also had a leaking shock but other than that its a great truck, i have this and the shenqi buggy, boath of the engines are great, 100 times better than the nitro and much more reliable (the only major prob for it is if the sparkplug gets soaked it can be a bit diffucult to start) but as bad as nitro are every D

1/8 scale is better than the 1/10 i have several 1/8 scale nitro and 1 1/5 scale im in the middle of building custom from rolling chassis with a 4 stroke 49cc motor, you wanna talk about fast, oh yeah i would take a 1/5 or 1/8 over 1/10 any day

@devilsreject78 wanna talk about fast? 1/10 have broken the speed record many times. 1/10 is also the most innovative scale there is. if it werent for 1/10, rc would not be what it is today. i would take a 1/10 or 1/8 over 1/5 any day. they are slow bulky and break like nothin. cant put up with near the shit 1/10 and 1/8 go thru everyday.

there not a bad truck really, i use to have one but sold it, there not very good offroad really as the parts break alot because of the weight of the truck, i had 2 things trouble me with these trucks, the gears kept shreding and the arms kept breaking, the engine dident give me a spot of bother tho brill engine. but weak body parts, id give it 10/10 for speed and about 6/10 for strenth. all in all good truck

I just got one, the f150 Bigfoot, for $499 off ebay, worth every penny! It takes the same parts as the Duratrax Firehammer, so parts are abundant and CHEAP! When tuned right it will do over 50mph easy. The size of the truck plays tricks on you and it doesnt look that fast on video, in person though, its mean as hell and fast, be putting up a video of mine soon, waiting on parts, nailed a tree today :P

Only thing that broke? Front shock mount and I hit it full throttle, 50+ mph ;)

I got mine froma place called nitrotek (search it in google). also you can get spares for it from nitrotek, just email them the part number you need (refer to the manual of the monster truck, by the exploded diagram) good luck!

DEFINATELY!! It is the best 'toy' I've bought! So reliable and fast, yet so cheap relative to it's competitors! I have gone to a bashing session with 30 other peopl with HPI Baja 5b's and other 1/5 scales and my one keeps up with them easily! I couldn't reccomend it more. go get one from nitrotek right now! :-D

Suspension is very strong. hasn't broken in 7 months of having it.

I absolutely love it, and it is a quality buy. It is incredibly robust. nothing seems to ever break on it. The brakes aren't super powerful but they do work fairly well. The wheels are rubber and the main hub is reinforced pvc plastic.  It is absolutely awesome. do not listen to this guy! Chances are he does not know how to care for and mantain it properly. On the other hand he may have a faulty one.

It can go either way. No, you don't need to break in the engine but it wouldn't hurt to take it easy for a few days just to get some hours on it. Don't pull it out of the box and go full throttle for an hour and expect it to be fine.

I haven't broke anything on mine in the year that I've had it, so i don't know. only things that 'broke' are two wheel bearings (they got stuck), and the servo stripped after a minor crash. But I replaced it with an upgraded Rhino Digi 4 servo. actual truck parts (like suspension arms etc) I haven't broke at all, so I don't know, sorry.

Got one of these Shengqi!

First run (no bashing!)-broke one front upper and one lower suspension arms after running for less than 10 min. Second run: running on humpy dirt road, the gearplate went loose and broke the gear plate holder, main gear spur and pinion gear. Lost a number of nuts. The sound of the stock muffler is very irritating so upgraded it to Jetpro tuned pipe, all broken parts mostly upgraded to alloy. The stock parts are crap!

They should make all gears metal, not crap!

They are a copy of an £800 truck. I got it and it had a few hiccups at first with the rear main diff sticking but after some tweaking it's great. The main steering servo is not good quality, it only has plastic gears, and that broke when i crashed one time, however afteR i bought a Rhino Digi 4 servo as a replacement, it is much better. much more responsive and with the metal gears it is much more strong. Overall very good quality.

every engine needs a break in to make sure the rings set in well with the wall. its a two stroke engine so it is way more reliable then any nitro engine and will last a WAY longer time, in other words its almost the same engine as you weed waker.
