You never leave your young baby alone with a puppy. My daughter is 15 months old and i'm still cautious about leaving her alone with our new husky puppy. The puppy did not know what it was doing. They are playful and nip a lot. These parents are morons.

There was a story about a Pit Bull puppy whose owner O.D'ed and th pup spent a week locked in a shed with his dead owner and had to eat human flesh to survive,he was adopted out after a rescue intervened at the request of shelter workers who couldnt bear to see the dog put down.The problem is not many people would be WILLING to adopt a pup with that kind of history.

Pugs are not usually aggressive and labs are known to be great with kids but since no one was watching the child and the dogs YOU DONT KNOW. I feel horrible for the parents and the family, and the child. I know it was irresponsible to leave the child in a swing alone- however, this could have happened in a matter of a minute or less. One pugs are known to have jealous tendancies and don't adjust well to change and puppys will be puppies... There was a story about a Pit Bull puppy whose owner O.D'ed and th pup spent a week locked in a shed with his dead owner and had to eat human flesh to survive,he was adopted out after a rescue intervened at the request of shelter workers who couldnt bear to see the dog put down.The problem is not many people would be WILLING to adopt a pup with that kind of history.

Pugs are not usually aggressive and labs are known to be great with kids but since no one was watching the child and the dogs YOU DONT KNOW. I feel horrible for the parents and the family, and the child. I know it was irresponsible to leave the child in a swing alone- however, this could have happened in a matter of a minute or less. Imagine if mom just went to the bathroom for a minute... I don't care what people say on here, the family deserves sympathy no matter what.

This is just my opinion but i dont think they should have killed the dogs.. I am an animal lover. They should not have left the baby by its self. I mean it is terrible for that baby, but think about the dogs too. I also agree with largatijo's comment.. charge the grandmother and mother and spare the dogs..

I can't see what motivation would a puppy have to kill a baby. I can see a lot of motivation in 17 year old parents and a father who paints his hair red. Something is very fishy here!

The mother/grandmother can't be expected to watch a baby at all times come on. If you put your child to sleep you don't sit in the room and watch him/her the whole time. This is just terrible and unfortunate you gotta feel bad for them. I'm not quite sure what I would do with the puppies though.
