  • you should not do it anymore then.. stick to it..it will be worth it!!

  • John, I've never seen this video until now, and so far it's my favorite of your videos that I've seen. I hope you're holding to what you said here. It it conceited if I am hoping to be one of those friends who like you for you? Sure, we only know one another online, but I think you're awesome. :-)

  • @dizzirt -- This is probably one of my favourite videos too. It actually started out pretty innocently enough with me talking to camera in my parked car. And then there was some effects added and a montage put over the top of it. While I was talking pretty generally my mind was skewed particularly towards the idea of romantic love. And in some ways I am as bewildered by that today I was back then. But I think this embodies some truth too.

  • the percussion really gets in the way of the listening

  • This is so true, thank you John

  • I did appreciate you for you, and I really wish I cold be allowed back into your circle of friends again john.

  • ahhh expectations =/

    yeah crazy talk hohoho

  • Hey my friend, dont worry so much about how other people percieve you. I feel so much like yourself right now!!! ...they try to cause harm by there hatefull words & sly hurtfull comments....but thats all they are...words!....infact they only say these hateful things because they themselves are weak & insecure, and are actualy picking up on there own ailments and taking it out on others! Therefore my brother, if they wanna slap your face, then give them the other aswel.

    Peace&light

  • That was wonderful.

  • Thanks!

  • this is great, and all so true. i just recently came to this conclusion as well. you have a lot of guts for putting yourself out there like that, but way to make a statement! :)

  • Thank you. =)

  • unconditional love has nothing to do with approval. Unconditional love has nothing to do with feelings. Unconditional love means that under any condition you will love and accept yourself and others. Unconditional love means you will not change regardless of what happens to you. The only way you can know this love is when you ''know'' where it comes from. it comes from the creater of heaven and earth. Example: A positive mothers relationship to her child. Regardless the childs actions moms there

  • You are right about your view of the majority of humanity. I understand. This is what keeps people from going around naked. We born this way, but people will judge you harshly if you go nude. The same goes for people who are zoosexuals good beastialists, and Gay people. I even believe people make false diseases to put people down even further. HIV is one Look ( upcspine,) Evidence click on read more, scientific studies 48% improvement after one adjustment.

  • :-)

  • that was awesome..

    ......... simple yet confronting

  • wow that is putting it out there mate! good one you. love can be very zen when you have love you can be loved. life can be a riddle sometimes. peace

  • Life most certainly can be.

Sometimes worse than a riddle... sometimes life can be a sudako. lol

  • faved!Loved the flowers and the thoughts.

  • Thanks Brazdolph. :)

  • You have a strong talent for blending the deeply personal with the artistic.

And, yes, you DO deserve better.

  • Thanks Curt. What a wonderful thing to say.

  • nice vid john!

    your fantastic!

  • Thanks Holly!

  • The best way to receive unconditional love is to give it, but to truly give unconditional love you have to be unconcerned as to whether anyone will love you back. Because "I'll love you if you love me" is a condition, and a really common one at that.

You're right, love and approval are separate things. I wouldn't be anywhere were it not for love given to me separate from approval, because what I do is often not approval-worthy to those who give me their love.

Did that make sense at all?

  • From where I'm sitting, that makes perfect sense.

  • This video of yours is right up there with the car vlogs as my faves. What a great subject to work with. Something we all want and find so hard to truely give. When we do find one that can and will love us no matter what it is those that we should strive to keep with us always. I loved this vid and the why you put it together and the footage was excellent.

  • Well just between you, me, and the other three people reading this comment... this is a car vlog. lol. Just edited differently.

  • I am one of the 3 lol.

I think this video is better than any car blog, oh wait you said it was one, ok.

  • hahaha.. Let's call it a concept video. Not a car vlog. (Although the dialogue was recorded in a car.)

  • There are a few people in my life I love unconditionally. No matter what they have done, or said, I still adore/cherish/love them. YOU are one of them, John.

  • Oh Christina, you are such a doll! :)

  • Each of us deserves to be cherished as long as we ourselves give from the heart. Good vlog. hugs, Chris

  • Well said Chris.

    Thanks for watching. :)

  • Well Said John. :)

  • Thanks WK!

  • If you are looking for unconditional love, get a dog, preferably from a rescue shelter;)

  • I used to joke about being a 60 year old spinster living with 30 stray cats... but I'm not sure if that is unconditional love, so much as "survival of the fittest."

  • Anytime I hear the term "Unconditional Love" I think of someone's dog. I suppose people are capable of unconditional love as well.

  • You're not the only person to draw parallels between unconditoinal love and love from pets. I think people are complicated, unnecessarily so at times. I think unconditional love is probably well suited to simplicity and honesty.

  • Well done John!

    Kelly

  • Thanks Kelly.

    I'm glad you liked it.

  • I really loved this video. Made me think. THANKYOU!

    <3 Ingy

  • Thinking is good!

We should all do it from time to time.

  • You've mirrored a lot of my own sentiments here and you voiced them quite well.

  • Thanks Hans. I think ultimnately if we are prepared to settle, we'll be settling for the rest of our lives. You need to be your own best friend. People used to tell me, and I never understood. I feel like, only now, I am learning. I am beginning to understand...

  • I hate to pull the old lady card here... but I remember my twenties as a most tumultuous time. It's the time when you start to see things clearly, as you appear to be doing, but the eye-opening is very harsh. Nobody takes you seriously, like you are still a kid, and yet you are growing as a person at a rapid pace! And then, when you turn 30, POOF - you start getting the respect you've longed for. Sorry to sound all sagey, but that was my experience anyway.

  • This may be the first time anyone's ever pulled any kind of card - old lady, or otherwise - on one of my videos. I'm interested to know if my experience will parallel yours. I guess with time I'll find out.

  • I feel like my experience might be different... slightly... if for no other reason than I am so isolated. My life at the moment is actually quite dull. But tempered. If that is something. I'm saving money obstensibly for my future. Not sure what my "future" contains yet, but at least I'll be able to pay for it. lol

  • Very nice video. You have arrived at that time in your life that most everyone does, where you realize not all the people that call themselves your friends actually have you in their best interests. Be patient and the cream will rise. Personally I believe the only 'unconditional' love comes from dogs! I do wish the very best for you, you DO deserve to be treated extremely well by someone specail. ♥♥

  • "The Cream Will Rise," is actually the title of a documentary about my favourite singer-songwriter Sophie B. Hawkins. I'm sure you're right. I have faith.

Thanks for what a lovely comment.

  • Don't understand the "Charleton Heston movie drums" in the background, but....

I think a lot of us think we have to change ourselves to be what we think other people are looking for. It's hard not to, because it's tough to be patient until someone worthwhile comes around.

  • Hiya, CM. How's your padded bicycle shorts doin?? That video was my FAVORITE CM production ...... only because you show us your cute behind

  • I really thought the "Charleton Heston movie drums" made the video. Like, seriously, there is not enough drama in my videos. Infact the more I think about it, the more this is looking like Planet Of The Apes version of JOJ. lol

  • Hi John! What a beautiful video! I think you are so right about this. Be yourself and you will be surrounded by your true friends. I do hope you feel loved and I hope you find a special love that makes you feel like you are king of the world. ((HUGS)) Lisa

  • Thank you for such a beautiful comment.

  • GREAT VIDEO !

the best thing you can do for yourself

    is to remember this

and not fall into the drama people have. : )

and dont let them put it on you..

wishing you the very best !

  • Wow. You wrote in lowercase for me? hehehe. I feel so special. =)

  • YOU ARE SPECIAL !

    remember that ! : )

  • Sonia!!!!! I've missed you!

  • To have someone who loves you for who you are, not for what they want you to be is what we all deserve

    Excellent video John

    xxx hugs xxx

  • Thanks Twish. I really do believe that is true.

  • Excellent J!

  • Hiya Con

  • hahahaha, I don't see or hear from you for a month and now you're everywhere! see you tomorrow!

  • I love that you two always seem to find each other in the comments section of any video. lol

  • Free to be you and me...Follow the beat of your own drum...

  • Well said!
