make solar panel siding that is better than putting it on the roof all the time, plus it will work in snowy areas because of the refection off the snow, also will be easier to clean (just a hose will do) and it will never have pitch on it and will create many jobs for the future. siding panels are already ankled at some degree just add the degree it needs and start putting it up on the sides of buildings always easy to clean this way kenneth van horn ...the best ideas around.

If the payback for a home is currently 5 years then why aren't every house set up 5 years is a given you reach 15 years the system would still have 10 years warranty in most cases and have paid for itself 3 times never ahving a power failure due to winter weather or car crashing to your wires somewhere.

The Pacific NW does better than Florida as well as Germany - for PV. They may have more sun, but PV Panels does work as well if they get too hot.

California to Texas is a sweet zone for Solar Thermal however. We can do it fine in the NW, but they get better values for heating spaces as well as water, and pools.

Nice overview - apparently by the History Channel...who would display a higher quality picture.
