  • Hey, you should look into penny stoves. They do the same job as sterno but in far less time and with less weight. Example: to boil water with sterno requires 30min and 4-5oz of alcohol gel. To boil the same water with a penny stove requires 3mins and 1oz of rubbing alcohol. Which can then also be used for serilization and many other uses. I don't recomend rubbing sterno in a cut :-(

  • When you first open a sterno, it's good to stir it up a little with a plastic spoon-- lights right away. Great vid buddy!
