Dragon Age: Origins should have at least been nominated as it has one of the best narratives I have ever played through.

Out of the nominees on this list though, I believe Uncharted 2 should have won.

And one more thing. Why do people always claim a new Call of Duty as the greatest game ever. It's narrative is not deep at all. Russia attacks America and you have to stop it. Been there, done that. The only thing MW2 has going for it is solid multiplayer and a bit of eye candy.

I really found Assassin's creed 2 a little lacking in terms of presentation, sure it was very pretty and done nice, but in the end it may it really doesn't bring anything new to the table. Where as Brutal legends...Well..to do it justice one needs a gutair solo to play in the background >>

brutal ledged can be sumed up like this a rts game but when ur units are sucking you can get on the battle ground summon your awesome car and run over people or shoot them with ur cars machne guns, but if u like hand to hand you can swing your ax of power or play your gitar and make lighting strike all nearby enimies.

and it has a awesome story with funny diologe, toped off with a awesome soundtrack. and the main character is voiced by jack black.

MW2 narrative just plain sucks. It is mostly told thrugh on the fly converstion (in which you won't be able to read or hear during a firefight) and a generic mission briefing. You will definitely be lost if you don't know anything about the plot.
