From 1:00 to 1:09, how do you make the double/parallel sound or however you call it. Harmony? Like two riffs in diff keys...or something. I hope you understand what I'm getting at?
Each Time I played the riff I recorded over myself ( as Jimmy did in the studio version) what you are hearing at 0:51 is me playing an octave higher along with my first 2 tracks ( open position and 5th position) then at 1:00 rather than record/layer another part I just switched to the octave harmony part.
nice job bro

@nabullshitmate
If you can tell me another way to play this riff in open/5th/octave and harmony position...well, I would be more than happy to hear that.
I await your reply.

Awesome work! Are you bending the A note up to a Bb or a B?
tenpennynailband 10 months ago
@tenpennynailband
I'm bending it up a full tone to 'B'.
You can get away with a kinda blue's micro-tonal bend ( say A to B flat or A to somewhere between B flat and B) if you are playing solo.
But if you are layering the parts like this, it sounds better if you keep the bends even, or else it starts to sound a bit off key!.
