  • dwarfs are planets too ya know.

  • USA USA USA ! Haha

  • it was the only planet in the solar system the americans discovered .

  • "Kicked off the list of major planets..." - poor thing . Talk about being kicked in the nuts. All it needs now is to lose its AAA credit rating.......

  • I feel so sorry for pluto :(

  • LMFAO The Top Comment xD

  • wow

  • I plan on building a summer home on pluto. Nice quiet place to settle down in.

  • Must be due to a massive algae bloom. :p

  • I would laugh till I burst if it turned out that the change was being caused by some sort of extremophile or that it's newly discoverd moon was a new orbital body causing a gravity effect tectonic warming.

  • Pluto may be turning red b/c of Elenin's iron oxide cloud.

  • @assault55

this is what i believe too. we'll know soon enough wont we :P

  • HOLY SHIT this seals the deal man how can you deny nibiru doesnt exist you morons shit we're all gonna die fuck nibirus iron oxide turned pluto red!!

  • There is another planet behind Pluto. How come nobody saw it?

  • I'm on Pluto right now.

  • @Dopesmoker42020

    Nice place?

  • @askjiir Yes,it is lol

  • 278 ppl want to travel the stars

  • That's no Dwarf Planet... It's a space station!!!

  • I can't wait 'til 2015. We finally get to see and learn about Pluto. It's a long wait though; hopefully plasma engines will be successful, and we can reduce mission times.

  • It would really suck if we're the only ones in the universe. Such a waste of space.

  • Plutos becoming red becuase its mad LOL

  • 1:18 Thats why i love to study about space:)

  • @MaidenOfTheMaidens me too man

  • Tell the Muslims to chill so we can fund space exploration!!

  • for some reason i thought pluto would be purple.

  • I have a theory.... it says that pluto orbits elliptically, and its surface is becoming dynamic this 2011,it could elliptically orbit to Earth and we can see a big red circle or dot (whatever)in the sky.Could Pluto be Planet X/Nibiru that could SMASH Earth in 2012...??? Just a theory guys... Thumbs up if you agree o_o

  • @drifter1998 if the planets shape changes, therefore it has to have a similar tectonic plate system to ours a liquid core that is still hot and lava to be vented to create surface pattern change, the colour change would possibly be from vented gasses, scientists arrogance clouds thier thought process i feel

  • @drifter1998 I smell a troll...

  • Pluto is turning red cuz it's pissed at being downgraded. Pluto smash! :P

  • @hobitcook What would you rather be doing than collecting those pieces of paper?

  • @hobitcook wL, if U R mad, & U have good rEsN 2 B, thN I M totLE on board with the shouTing.

  • @hobitcook Perhaps, somewhere out there in the unknown vastnes of the Universe, you will find a keyboard with a working caps lock key.

  • I knew it. The damned commies invaded Pluto.

  • ooooh 4 yrs from now awsome!

  • Maybe Pluto is turning red because it's embarrassed??

  • It's not Uranus !!!

  • OMG! I LOVE planets and space and stuff. I got interested in it all of a sudden. The reason I'm so interested in it is that its like you can find ANYTHING on ALL of those planets. You got valcanos and gas and no oxygen and interesting colours.

  • AWESOME! Pluto is an AMAZING PLANET! WHY? Because it is so unique yet mysterious! I hope it is Geologically Active! It has 3 moons, Charon, (750mi. Ø) Nix (±85mi. Ø) and Hydra (±100mi Ø). I can't wait for 2014, when they launch the James Webb Telescope, and what it finds on Pluto before the New Horizons mission gets there in 2015, (successfully I hope). I think Pluto & Charon are much like Neptune's moon, Triton. Triton is Geologically active! We need to focus on technology for Science, NOT war!

  • the system look in survey to the sky galaxiys

  • What is 4% of infinity

  • Now why cant i get Wireless Internet Range like that!

  • pluto got red because it's mad for being demoted to a dwarf planet.

  • @mcplanetearth Ha! I like that..!

  • @AETrainingDavid97

    more like every person

  • wheres hydra and nix

  • we are living under a rock =D TIME TO EXPLORE!

  • @VasVortex Ummmm.. where would I even start?

  • pluto is a dog ?

  • If Anyone Is into Astronomy or outer Space Ect please check out my channel its a bit new but im hoping 2 be conapred 2 the great SpaceRip soon if u like my first videos please Subscribe!! i will be udating every week My first video takes you on a journey from Earth to the edge of the cosmos taking u from planets to Supernaovas to black holes and Stars pleas watch and thank you

  • Its turning red cause it is mad thaat scientists called it a dwarf planet :P

the 1 dislike is from plutoXD

  • Of all the missions 'out there' this one, New Horizons, I can't wait for that spacecraft to get to Pluto. I hope I'm still alive when it does! :)

  • something is happening on pluto and i want to know what it is.

  • I am Pluto and I am angry.

  • all the planets are changing.. not just earth... everything is morphing

  • well personally at the end of the day, we cant live on these stupids balls of rock anyway...too far and too hot/cold..so wats the fuckin point, nasa=waste of taxpayers money...earth is lush a habitable soo isnt it this planet thats worth focusing on

  • Its gonna break off a piece and shoot it at us. Its angry

  • Pluto is still a planet. Only four percent of the IAU voted on the controversial demotion, and most are not planetary scientists. Their decision was immediately opposed by hundreds of professional astronomers in a formal petition led by New Horizons Principal Investigator Dr. Alan Stern. The debate over Pluto's planet status remains ongoing.

  • Final Frontier? What about Makemake or Eris, aren;t they further out? I really dislike this clumsy languag. I like your videos but can you be more accurate and drop all this colourful language useage, it really does confuse and obscure the facts.

  • AHAHaHA LOOK AT THE GUY WITH THE TWO ARMS

  • Well if we were to set to the stars, we'd probably treat entire planets the same way we treat mines or other natural resources that can be converted to capital...

If we'd be able to sustain our specie "till the end of time" maybe some species we'd prevent from evolving on some rock out there could bring consciousness to a higher state than our specie would be willing to.

Not that I can imagine any reason good enough to refrain humanity from doing whatever it "can" do...

  • if we used a vasmir engine on that probe, how long would it have taken to reach pluto ?

  • Due to arrive there in 2015 *kills myself*

  • Love this channel! ^^ Is there a website that posts newest finds, discoveries and information about astronomy? :D

  • LOL, maybe Pluto got upset because he was kick out as a planet.

  • @ChronicMist hahah that IS LAME!

  • The majority of the planets in the Universe may be dwarf planets.

  • It's obvious. 2012 is literally on the horizon.

  • @handplanty hehe u seriuos?

  • @JamieCunningham No of course not, Nibiru is bigger than Earth, not smaller...

Hehe just kidding 2012 is just going to be the year in which you and me post silly comments on YouTube, and 2013 will be the year I graduate from university. The year 402.010 will be the year the Earth's magnetic field has shifted, but by that time the Sun will already have swollen to proportions that we cannot bear to endure, and we won't be living here anymore. Life goes on without Earth, too.

  • STOP THE WARS AND TRAVEL TO THE STARS. It really needs to happen. Either we learn to live and work together, or we die on this rock alone

  • @Craigipedia You, sir, should be a world leader.

  • @Craigipedia i think the ppl chose to die on this rock alone

  • @kosta1987 well the muslim countries and america anyway

  • @Craigipedia i agree 100% if are species are to last until the end of time we must colonize space and beyond the milky way galaxy

  • @Craigipedia i agree with you man. But we need to figure out if its even possible

can we actually traverse the stars?

  • @Craigipedia Seriously. I understand that that kind of technology is hard to come up with. But if the wars were over.. you're right. We'd have more money to make that technology and REALLY see what's out there. Not only would it be useful/helpful.. it would also, though, be amazing to see the other worlds up close and what we can find.

  • @Craigipedia Its also said if we stop war for 3 weeks it enough cash to buy solar panals to power the world ! so we wouldnt need fly to another rock just to survive but to have fun And find new places!!! The Hole World just piss's me off!

  • @Craigipedia Best comment i ever see on youtube

  • @Craigipedia This rock? Have a little more respect for your home.

  • @Craigipedia hahaha where is that line from lost haha wtf

  • @Craigipedia im with u if we never had war now the galaxy could be ours we could conquer the galaxy

  • strongly agreed. nicely worded.

  • @Craigipedia agreed

  • @Craigipedia Its the muslim's that stop this. Our president is so stupid. We wouldnt even need every country.

US, Europe and Russia can do it, but we care more about stupid stuff. I fully agree that we, as a planet, should divert ALL we have to finding a new planet.

  • @Craigipedia your right our minds are to stupid to go to space though we need more clever people today its war they think war is bad wait till they see whats out there the whole planet needs to stop fighting and work together if we will survive

  • @Craigipedia We'll learn to live and work together.. we just need to get rid of unnecessary population (say narrow it down to 5 million humans) via disease, poisoned food and water etc. Then invent an imaginary enemy like terrorists or aliens or perhaps giant distaster so the people will let you chip them. As long as all the peasants are subservient (perhaps put flouride in their water?) then we can have world peace and the rich can rule from the stars the workers on earth :)

  • @sloppymantis that comment was as useful as a poopy flavored lollipop

  • suddely is the possibility of gasvolcanos on pluto or charon or the smaller moon a possibility, similär to japetus or why not heatgrinded volcanos like IO's sulphur ones

  • Finally we're gonna get something about Pluto!!!! 5 years just 5 years, been waiting for that forever.

  • @fieryelf

You have no idea how much I agree with you. I have been waiting for pictures of Pluto since the day I saw that blurry picture.

  • Global warming. Al Gore said so.

  • @elsquibbs You do realize global warming according to Al Gore is hoax? Its because of an all time high of sunspots. Sure, cars & stuff does make a difference, but no way as much as sunspots. During the mini iceage few centuries ago there were an all time low of sunspots

  • @Wofumpf

you do realize even putting sunspots into account. the underline cause of warming is still greenhouse gases right? and get your global warming facts from science journals.. not Al Gore or even worst.. FOX. climate scientist has been measuring natural variables as well. in fact that is the only reason you even know about them. .

  • @ccaptorchen Here is a question,if Al Gore believes the oceans will rise due to global warming, why did he just buy a 9 million dollar beach front house? I bet that house is energy efficient.Maybe it is well sealed and will be used as an underwater lab after the flood.

  • @huntwds He doesn't believe the ocean is going to rise and flood beach front houses in the USA tomorrow. Plus, famous people and political figures have to buy houses like that because they don't even have a choice. It's not like he can live in a normal house. Don't be silly.

  • @culwin Well gee,how silly of me,it's not like he does not already have several other oversized, wastefull houses but your right he may sell this one before he gets his feet wet. No choice eh,well it's a burden being rich and wastefull, take a secure place to plot and plan how to steal other peoples money. I suppose he is also forced to drive oversized limos and fly in private jets. Do as I say,not as I do,is that right?

  • @huntwds Well, OK, so you hate Al Gore... we get it... Not sure what that has to do with this video, though. Maybe you can write him an angry letter?

  • @huntwds

again.. what part of Al Gore is not a climate scientist do you not understand? also the raise sea level is measure for the next 100 years..for maybe a few inches I doubt he would live long enough to see it go underwater.

  • Pludo dosend wand do be a dwarf planed. Oh I ged id. Pludo is a cold place and people dere have a cold and derefore all of dere letter 'Dee' for 'dango' have all become dee for Delda due do dere sinuses being blocked. How unfordunade.

  • yea why the stupid woman is calling it PLUDO?

  • 2015!? wtf? DAMN that's long. I really can't wait to see Pluto's real close up image.

It's one of the planets that we still don't know how it looks like close up(and yes I know it's not a planet anymore but back in those days when it was no one knew what it really looked like).

  • @Blueknightex it has launched 2006 and already arrives 2015? Thats quite some achievement considering the distance! Spacetravel seems to have improved, really..

  • Pluto will now have his revenge :DD

  • I think it's pretty much established that Pluto has "seasons" which depend on its distance from the Sun. As it gets closer, the Sun's heat sublimates methane ices on Pluto surface, creating a reddish atmosphere of sorts. When Pluto gets far from the Sun, those gasses freeze and fall to the ground again.

  • @maksphoto78 i agree.. due to its distance, it takes over 200 years for it to go around the sun.. studies on pluto(in more detail ) started recently wich means that they haven't yet studied that possibility.

it is indeed a good theory Maksphoto78

  • thanks marion, great tits babe

  • wow, who would've expected Pluto to be dynamic, considering as far away from the sun as it is.

  • You LOSE Pluto! You get NOTHING. Good day sir!!

  • This video is about Pluto the dwarf planet people! WTF are all these morons commenting about here? So totally irrelevant...

  • Pluto is small haha xD

HAHA EARTH IS BIGGER THAN YOU PLUTO!

  • pluto turned red wtf?!

  • 2015? Kinda sad... if we are all doomed in 2012, it reminds me of "Vger" from the Star Trek movie. It'll start shooting back info and no one will be here to answer its phone call.

  • @RuffleTheTeacher Why do you think we are all doomed in 2012? Haven´t people been guessing the end of the world since the first humans arrived? We are still here. In 2012 the world ´dies´ but not in the end of the world sense. Just like pices to Aquarius etc. There is no end-rather a beginning of a new ´world.´

  • "I'll be with you until the end of the age."- Jesus

Guesses are always around from thoes who wish to make a name or gain fame. Science is a cold hard fact dependant realm that guesses don't fit in so well. (Well, minus that whole theoretical physics thing) Why did the Maya create a calendar that is 25,776 years long with 5 ages? Magnetars SGR 1900+14 & SGR 1806+24 directly affecting our atmosphere. I can see Andromeda with my naked eye @ 2 mil lyrs. GC is 26000 and its invisable. Why?

  • @RuffleTheTeacher What the hell are you talking about? Would you like me to name a list of random facts as well? Why are you asking me these questions?

My closet door is brown! Brown is the name of the former Fema director...oil mixed with water looks brown...it´s a conspiracy! Brown caused the oil rig to collapse!! OMG...it all makes sense now.

  • But the great thinkers have now dubbed it as a NON-Planet... pfft!

  • How do they control the probe and get it in to orbit once it gets there? and how many light minutes/hours is it away from earth?

  • @luckystrke Is it even going into orbit? I always thought it'd be a flypast like Voyagers 1/2. How would you slow enough to be even remotley slow enough to enter an orbit around pluto?

  • @musicalaviator You're absolutely right. According to Nasa's website: It will fly past Pluto and its moons in July 2015 before heading deeper into the Kuiper belt of icy rocky objects on the planetary frontier.

  • is anybody aware of the great app for all operating systems: celestia.

3d virtual universe. completely free. i suggest it immensely

  • Can someone explain to me why they can get sharp images of the far far stars and galaxies but not of pluto? Maybe a silly question... but i really dont understand why

  • @luvachii Cause stars and galaxies give off light, while pluto doesn't. :P

  • @luvachii Pluto's size is just too small and it's too faint...

  • New Horizon's is only 5 years away. I wonder if it can take better pictures of Pluto than Hubble yet.

  • @lasertuber im pretty sure it would since the probe is being sent TO pluto

  • @lasertuber

It will be able to take better pictures of Pluto when it's 6 months away from it.

So don't expect any detailed pictures until it's very close :)

  • @PeXis Thanks. I know the camera's aren't designed for it, but monthly snapshots would have been a great way to keep people interested. It would seem possible to fit a decent telescope on the spaceship, similar to the size of the lens of the mars global surveyor. I would think that could out-do the Hubble way before 6-months out.

  • @lasertuber

Of course it's possible but I'd imagine that would be fairly expensive since the weight would also go up quite a lot, needing more thrust or more time to get there.

Remember that New Horizons is the fastest space craft ever made, so I'm sure they had quite tight weight limit :)

  • @PeXis Good point. I checked on the NASA URL and found that LORRI is the long range imaging device, so apparently they made their best effort. I hope NewHorizons gets close enough to the other bodies out there to show us more images. It just seems like the distances will be vast too, so I thought the imager would have a longer range.

  • pluto got angry it got kicked out of being a planet

  • @ILikeWeatherGuy somebody disliked this video...got to be Pluto

  • very short documentation. :) just made me hungry to discover more about this planet :>

  • Maravilloso.

  • Has there never been a probe sent to Pluto? What about Neptune or Uranus? Did they just send the probe recently and it is already going to reach there in only 5 years, or has it been travelling for a long time?

  • @Deviantial Neptune and Uranus was visited by Voyager already..

  • @Deviantial ur right - who knows what wonders or treasures mankind might find inside uranus....

  • a butt plug.

  • @Deviantial no thar has not been a probe sent it but new NH will be thar in 2015

  • Why not put an automatic observatory on Pluto?

  • @Orlando2914 Too far...too difficult and risky to get there in one piece. Also Hubble is more than suitable.

  • @robdotcom71 maybe not an entire observatory, maybe a rotating satellite or something. it would just make it easier to take pictures of the (dwarf) planets out there

  • @Orlando2914 The fuel needed to slow the spacecraft down would be enormous. And the risk of the mission would just be too great.

I believe the next-gen Space telescope will have the resolution and ability to image those trans-neptunian objects.

  • Pluto - Charon is binary planet. Get over it.

  • It's because Nibiru passed by it and fucked it up. Gave it a bloody nose, metaphorically speaking. It'll do the same to our Earth in 2012.

  • Oh comon the dwarfs from lord of the rings were badass.

  • we need to invent warp.. ASAP! i cant wait 5 years for that probe to get there :L

  • @4N0NYM0U557 time travel its the only way!

  • @4N0NYM0U557 When I was in primary school I seriously thought Cassini arriving at Saturn would take near enough to 'forever'.

And yet, there it orbits there today.

  • @musicalaviator your primary school obsessions resemble mine ;). where you also fascinated by atoms or even subatomic particles? what are you doing today?

  • Pluto's angry, oh noe!

  • Can't wait 4 years! :(

  • Y DOOES DA UNIVERSE SO PATIENT?? I want da probe there NOW! stupid space time

  • Pluto's angry because Americans keep calling it Pludo - There's no "d" in Pluto!

  • @mboylan74 OH shut up. get over yourself.

  • Only 4 more years lol

  • Pluto is ANGRY! >:(

  • Pluto's embarrassed it was demoted to a "dwarf planet"

  • it's red because it's angry at its demotion as a dwarf planet

  • I think a better name would be ice dwarf planets

  • @Takua38000: It might be if we knew they were primarily water ice, but we don't. We've only found a very few rather huge members of the group. Better to leave their chemistry out of it until we know them better.

  • @Takua38000

    do ya now

  • @Reav420

rather than calling them dwarf planets (throughout the solar system)

call them ice dwarfs (beyond the gas giant small plants)

  • first
