The Beighton Test is not something we do "for fun" and we certainly aren't "lucky" to be able to contort to these extremes. those are not the points that show you if you are flexible in your spine! if you are, you have to bend your spine!!! not your knees, fingers or anything!! i can bend my fingers but not my spine, i have to warm up! wtf are that woman saying???
Un-be-lievable. They show you the cool parts of hyper mobility, and go so far as to show you the (albeit incomplete) Beighton, but do not show or say anything about connective tissue disorders that can cause this and can be life threatening. If you have at least a 4 on this test, you should visit ednf.org, and consult a geneticist if you find that you display more than just hypermobility. Irresponsible. Some doctors they are.
I would question how many contorionist actually end up having Ehler's Danlos syndrome. Espically since all of the 'self test' to see if you could be one are part of the Ehler's Danlos flexibility test.
