It is quite possible and even probable, that in that very early stage of The Beatles' career, George Martin contracted a professional studio musician to play that really slick guitar stuff on this tune. They did use a drummer by the name of Andy White on one of the very first singles in lieu of Ringo. I believe that's what happened on Til There Was You only on guitar.

So, kinda makes ya wonder who played the guitar like this on the Beatles recording. Could Paul play jazz-tinged guitar like that back then? There's footage of George playing the lead in the middle on electric gtr, but who laid down that sweet acoustic foundation? If Paul really did it, then he was way better than even we knew back then.
