I'm 40 and i've been drinking mtn dew pretty much daily since i was like 13 or so

i finally decided to give the throw back a try and i can definitely say without a doubt it lacks the body that the dew they normally sell have also since i'm starting to get a headache i will add that the caffein content must be off or different although i will not say its a bad taste its just not as tasteful as the current formula it almost taste like diet to me .....in my opinion.

I have been drinking Mountain Dew for a few years now, I recently just did the "taste test" I found that the Throwback does not have that "burn" feeling as youdrink it. As for a diet taste? No not so much. I actually like the throwback. Also I think its funny at the end of this video he takes a drink of the throwback, after clameing "TO BE HONEST I HATE THE NEW ONE". But yes good video.

I love the taste, at where i work in NJ there are lots of spanish places, and they import Pepsi form Honduras, and Mexico in glass bottles, and it has real sugar, and I love it, taste is way better. It's not the corn syrup that makes the difference. It's the flavor itself. It's called throwback because it is the original flavor reproduced. Not the current pepsi or dew flavor you're used to. Most people just focus on the fact it's real sugar, but I'm pretty sure it's a different recipe too.

The basic taste is there (which is to be expected), but I didn't expect the Throwback to taste a little blander. I can definitely see where people are coming from when they say it tastes like Diet. I did side by side tests, both of them lost that umph, the after taste tang of sorts. I like the Pepsi TB better though, it tastes smoother, imo, and Mt Dews current formula is slightly better, I agree with what was said about it.

There is one other difference with Pepsi TB other than just sugar, the citric acid was also removed, so I'm sure that plays some role.
