@TomBTV1 I Diddn't say it's wrong for him to watch a Soccer match rather that he should not stick his big fat nose in saying we should get a replay, it is none of his concern just like Irish Politics is none of Trap's concern, understand
We deserve a replay Henry is a cheater and Amhran na bhian is the national anthem but because the rugby team includes northern Ireland they sing irelands call aswell... Fuck the French fuck Henry and fuck FIFA
does Costa Rica also deseve a replay of the game because they didnt get a penalty call that happened to be missed by all four refs in their playoff match.
I agree, France scored from what should have been an illegitimate goal would soccer be a sport where refereeing mistakes do not occur, yet both teams agreed to play with an imperfect system so both should expect imperfect results.
The judicial system of football relies on the calls that 4 humans make, (the referees), they aren't perfect and both federations knew so before engaging in the game. I don't know why we or any team really, should expect the game to be replayed because a refereeing mistake was done, both teams agreed to play the game knowing mistakes could occur so no matter how big the mistake or the consequences it may have brought were, the game can't be replayed, as unfair as that may sound.
Naw, our charisma and putting words such as "demanded" and "furthur action" might fool some fools at home, it won't work in the real world. These are REAL PEOPLE you're dealing with here, something that's rare in Ireland among people in power. This isn't a big farcical joke like Irish politics at all.
The IDEA that Brian Cowen would just swoop in and then we'd get a rematch is incredibly stupid and a DISGRACE to the people of Ireland.
in Ireland we dont call the leader of the oirachtas the prime minister, we call him/her the Taoiseach. In fact Taoiseach doesn't even mean prime minister it means leader. The Taoiseach's deputy is called an Tanaiste.
a united team? mate dont be silly that would never happen! best prob pleaded for a united team cus he would have been the only northern irish player to make it in an all ireland team. same as today! there would probably be only two or three northern irish players who would make it into the irish team. oh and best was a protestant.
Unfortunately politics does play a role in rugby union in Ireland.Because of the North/South divide the Irish national team only sing Irelands Call away from home including at the last world cup. The only nation at that competition not to sign their national anthem resulting in most people thinking Irelands Call is our anthem.I have no problem with Irelands call but they should sing our anthem too, especially away from home.
There is only one Irish national anthem, Amhrán na bhFiann, which is played at international rugby games here in Ireland as is Irelands Call a song commissioned by the IRFU as a unifying song. When the team play away from home they only sing Irelands Call. I have no problem with Irelands Call being sung home or away but the national anthem should be played and this does not happen when Ireland play away from home.
cant believe france got away wit that..poor ireland..de shud av 2 refs 1 on pitch and 1 watching on de camera in a studio nd snd a message 2 1 on pitch to tell him if its hand ball or not!
please look at on youtube "broken motion peter clyne"
it is a very gud movie made out of photos der is 2 parts nd leave a comment
tough, them are the rules...this was a error of judgment not a an error on the rules...france had clear penalty denied in dublin the score could have been 2-0 going to paris...shit happens to everyone
the reason why hes getting involved is because it will effect the economy in ireland the money that was due to the country if we had made the world cup was 90 mill now the french economy will have 1.5 billion pumped into it.
qball, and it's not even like those cheese eatin surrender monkeys need that. they've got some of the most desirable vacation destinations, world renowned wines & cheeses. i would much rather see that money go to ireland.
plus, as a sweeper, shitty calls (or a lack thereof) like that make my blood boil.
mate i agree with you 100% you just hit the nail on the head! i was just commenting on what wacky580 was saying. cus thats simply why the taoiseach is getting involved. at the end of the day its all turning to politics. football is the real loser here not the irish economy.
This is the first time this gobshite has spoken any sense. Fair play is the corner stone of any sport and for the kids who watched the match all they learned is that cheating is ok if you don't get caught. I'm disgusted with France and FIFA. To farang; go fuck yourself ya stupid tommy cunt! the best you will ever do is get to the finals and then bottle it. but cheer up lads there is always the rugby! nothing like watching BOD and the lads kick the shite out of cheaters and wankers!
no politics in football especially that fat cu*t .. our country is in ruins over these cun*s... so shut the fu*k up.. we Irish supporters don't want to hear from you..

Not receiving a penalty is not cheating whereas touching the ball with your hand in order to score a goal is.
Thats why this should be a rematch. Not getting a penalty doesnt mean the other team cheated.

This is serious stuff. It's not like an Irish referendum where you can just have another one if you don't like what the result of the first one was.

I think a rematch is called for. Nevertheless, Henri has been honest.
As he infrered, " I follow the rules"
He would play in a rematch-if called for.
The real tragedy-Ireland playing as two countries-in rugby union-Ireland is one nation-politics has no influence.
Best pleaded for a united team. I don't know his religion and I don't think it mattered.
Our chances to qualify for SA 2010(Canada's ) are even worse then Ireland's.

the leader of FF talking about honesty and fair play; you'd laugh it wasn't so sickening.
stick to ruining the country; no need to embarrass us further.
surprised 'bertie' hasn't weighed in yet; though even that prick probably wouldn't have the gall to try and exploit this situation.

Taoiseach should concentrate on politics. its a game after all, there are more important things he could be speaking to French Prez about.
Fifa should look at a review of the rules though.
