1984 was the year. I with some of my friends was tarvelling in a car in Mumbai after a classical music gathering. One of my friends asked me if i had ever heard Mehdi Hasan's Shola tha jal Bujha hoon, i said no, and he started singing this ghazal ! Ah that was it from that day onwards till date i m mad about this voice (want to hear more & more) i m never satisfied." wonderful, fabulous, excellent, beautiful no words to express my feelings.

It reminds me of my childhood and the first time I accompanied my dad to a music conference arranged in honor of this maestro during one of his tours here in India. This was the particular song that simply left me spellbound. After that perhaps I have heard this song a thousand times, be it over All India Radio Broadcast in the past or in You-tube today. u sure..its ustad tari khan? i doubt it...i dont know cuz ustad tari khan will never mess up that big especially when it comes to tehai or anything..we have to find out who's this tabla guy? dosent look like Peer Baksh..
