the default pads are pretty standard for a synth, it really comes down to how well you can tweak them.

Not at all really. This is actually quite basic modelling, I was using the default modulations set to the knobs and sliders. This is an amazing and affordable synth, It's my baby =]

i took my micron back because it started to overheat, and i think i'll be buying something else for more money with more polyphony and channels. but i hope it doesn't cut off sounds when presets change. this sounds horrible on pads and such when performing live.

the best thing about this synth is that changes presets doesn't make the sounds drop out like other synths. so when your doing a live show, and a preset changes, it sounds nice and smoov

YES. Another thing you can do is hold down the preset you're playing, and switch it to another one, and the old preset will still be playing. Love this thing so much.

yup. i just wish this same feature worked in setup mode, since that's what i always use. too bad you can't use separate presets on different channels in preset mode. Also, if you're making a sequence, using more than one preset in setup mode, and in the song, you want to change only one preset, you have to change the whole setup. the micron accepts preset changes quickly and doesn't miss the first note of a clip or sequence. i used to have to paste preset changes a few ticks b4 the note starts
