@TheSonic497 The role of Daniel's story in the game is to redeem himself after torturing countless of innocent people which he thought would finally stop the shadow from chasing him. Of course, he doesn't know that because he took a potion to make him forget.

It was meant to make him think on a different perspective, not the one he had when he was still torturing people.

Next time, try to actually sit down and play it through. Or at least until you got to the water basement.

@TheSonic497 you can't kill or trap. You have to run and hide. Like all those cabinets you open? Hide in those. The basement full of water? Throw something into the water. Books, rocks,pieces of armour, hell, even the severed Arms and torsos, throw them into the water, it'll go after it so use that to run and fast.

The game had a lot going for it, good graphics, great story, great atmosphere but unfortunatley after a promising start in which the game seems like an engrossing adventure game, it becomes a bit of a generic, very linear fps.

Still, i give it 7/10 but its a shame it wasnt the truely great game it was close to being.

I love that they made no Heads Up Display for this game. When you play this in a darkened room it really draws you in, and there's nothing to distract you... no health bar, no ammo counter, no minimap... just pure gameply Taking all that out really added to the experience.
