  • Darrell Scott FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Planto I love you

  • "Basically I just wanna sing". I hope Mr Plant feels that way for a long time to come. Buy the Band Of Joy Albums. They`re brilliant.

  • Robert Plant has continued to impress me over the 30 years in which I've been conscious of his existence. I can only hope to be a fraction as graceful as he is by the time I'm his age.

  • I dont care that hes aging... his music still talks to my soul :-)

  • This guy looks a bit old for his age, but he's been packing on some real muscle.

  • Theoden King?

  • his face is aged like your favorite old baseball glove. not a bad thing

  • @putdownan8dude that also says a lot about robert as a person. most rock stars his age have had tons of face lifts, plastic surgery, ect..... it shows he has no self vanity,he just still dose his music and has no issue with his looks... makes him seem more real and honest.

  • @ClassicRockfan79 here here! agree completely

  • Robert Plant inspires God .

  • Robert is one of the classiest, eloquent, and intelligent down to earth rockers ever. This is a guy who led (no pun intended) the greatest band ever and yet he comes off as just a regular guy whos passionate about the art of music. Total respect!!

  • THIS GUY IS PURE AWESOMENESS!!!!

  • love it, a room full of true fans with respect and love, rock on peeps

  • Is Robert "Falling in Love Again" with Patty Griffin?

  • I met him during breakfast at our resorts restaurant (the Peaks) in Telluride the morning of his Band of Joy show this year, he was pigging out on at least a dozen scrambled eggs and at least 12 pieces of bacon!!(he is a very large man!)

I told him "thank you ,Mr Plant for the last 4 decades!" he smiled at me and shook his head and kept eating!

It was the coolest moment of this cowboys 53 years on earth!

  • @patrickvernongragg is he tall??im not sensitive to other guys looks but i have always wondered.plants the best

  • music is a spiritual journey and you get inspired by others, music is also like cooking,

  • he really is a beautiful man.. inside and outside! Band of Joy is truly a cause for celebration. A triumph! A work of staggering beauty.. The spirit of Zep is there, but rather than rock your bones, it will stir you the depths of your soul like a coffee spoon.. God bless, and long live Robert Plant.

  • He really has aged so gracefully. H'e's such a beautiful man he will always turn my head!

  • Rock Gawd!! Can't wait to see him tonite in Ottawa!!

  • he washed their feet, to be an example to serve one another, or seet to remove the debris in eachother lives so that we can see clearly not to stumble or fall n blindness n our path?

  • you must be in love to find the right songs and the right sound, have you found it Mr. Plant? i have

  • I'm gonna see one of my idols in about 5 months. Robert Plant is coming to Poland. Could I ask for more? :)

  • Wow. I'm so excited by this. It is like coming home. I can hear the ghosts in there and yet it is for now. Good stomping dancehall to breath life back into any stale relationship.

  • 3 more days till I c Robert n Asheville,NC....yippie.....

  • Love that couch and the album is not too bad

  • What's not to love about all "Plant-like" things. The True Joy of the Band of Joy is Robert. As always. :o].

  • January 22 2010 Toronto. A bit trippy. I hope so. I'll be screaming in the back rows. Basically we WANT U to sing too. Bring it back - bring it back. See U at Sony Centre Percy!!!

so very excited to see you all then - thank you.

Big Fan since videos on TV in the early 80's.

  • HE IS A LEGEND THAT STILL HAS IT IN HIS BLOOD TO PERFORM,THANK YOU "ROBERT PLANT"!!!!!!!!!!

  • You got so much to be proud of Robert. Just keep shinning in the light. I get it,man. Thanks for you and Alison doing back-to-back shows in Louisville, Ky. Come back as soon as you can remember we are only a little over 200 miles from Nashville, Tenn.

  • You got so much to be proud of Robert. Just keep shinning in the light.

  • he sounds the same as he did when he was in his 20s

  • @sophiejanebailey no he doesn't, but he sounds great nevertheless

  • most awesome guy in the world, maybe the universe

  • Gosh, he has aged...but he has aged gracefully. Still looks like Robert Plant, unlike other celebrities who get a lot of work and don't even look like themselves anymore. I love this man!!! :)

  • @ElinaIsabel1 But the hair remains the same!

  • @ElinaIsabel1 He wouldn't look like this if he didn't make that pact with the devil! God is your way towards salvation people, embrace Jesus Christ and do not go down his road!

  • @bobdy9988 So if we make a so called pact with the devil, this is what we are to expect to look like at 62? So who would we look like if we had Jesus Christ salvation??? splain

  • @bobdy9988 You are kidding right? He looks young for his age so he sold his soul? Maybe I missed the sarcasm?

  • @Soxpert Just kidding man. Wanted to see how many reactions I could get. Not many :/

  • @bobdy9988 Sorry, my ability to sense sarcasm on the internet is obviously not up to par. But you do hear that crap a lot from people who are actually serious about it.

  • I ask myself why you guys, after 2008, don't keep playing. Led Zeppelin, now, will make more sucess than last century. You are throwing away your money. This is for all Led Zeppelin.

  • Its amazing how much life he still has in him.

  • @Iwasbored76 my guess is - he probably feels about 20... as I get older ---

i feel a lot lighter and younger...anyway.... It's great to see him doing his thing...makes you think getting up there doesn't have to suck!

  • Looking forward to seeing you in Liverpool on Thursday Percy.

  • I am a bigger fan of your solo career than I am of Led Zeppelin. If that isn't a compliment, I don't know what is.

  • Hey Robert. I saw you here in Albuquerque,NM. The God show before your show was so magical. You made me and the chick I met because I came alone, have a fantastic time. Thank you and please come back. Your charmisa was still off the charts. Scotti

  • @scottigay yeah hes was great in abq did u also see him in 05 on the Mighty ReArranger tour when he came here

  • holy shit he covered a low song!!!!!!

  • I Love The New Album. It's Almost As Good As Mighty Rearranger. Kick's Ass....

  • Well sing Robert sing... simply astounding!

  • I bought this album and its wonderful.Love Robert Plant!!! His voice is unique.Im his fan since Led Zeppelin and will be forever.Go on Robert, keep making us happy with your music!

  • Bought this album recently and have never stopped playing it. Like all Robert's Albums it is absolutely wonderful and I just love it. I have followed Robert's music for many years and I am one of his most loyal fans and I love "Falling in Love again"

His voice is unique and he is by far in my estimation one of the best singers on this planet. I can't wait to see him live in concert in three weeks time in Edinburgh I have waited for this for a long time. God Bless You Robert X

  • Im impressed at the fortitude it takes to go be who you want and not what everyone wants you to be. And to do so succesfully... Im a proud fan!!

  • Thank you Robert. I will buy this LP. I enjoy the diverse, dare I say, American, roots your thoughtful vision is based on. I appreciate your ability, and willingness, to share your creative process and musical objectives in an articulate manner. Live long and prosper!

  • Not sure what is left to say ,but yet again the man diversifies and the voice is unqiue, emblematic and iconic of what the greatest singers of our time can achieve. Plant's vocal experimentation, eclectically influenced delivery and precocious, emotive and technically flawless range surely make him the master. His voice is so distinct and aftecting and genuinely nourishes the soul .. peerless. I'm off the see the Viking Elder in Edinburgh next month... can't wait!

  • I saw Robert Plant play with Buddy Miller last year at Hardly Strictly, and then he came back stage to see a friend of mine after his performance, and he was by himself, no entourage. He seemed very down to earth and respectful of all the other musicians. I have to give him huge credit he really seems to have his ego in check and is truelly in love with this style of music. I so hope he plays at Hardly Strictly in two weeks! I'm really impressed with this sample of the new album.

  • Even when he's talking his voice sounds great!

  • PS; wersja Polska jest na stronie WP

  • Im buying

  • This is a great interview. I could give a fuck about Robert Plant, I'm more an Iggy Pop devotee, but because he's doing Americana stuff with Patty Griffin & Buddy Miller I'm paying attention. And so far I'm diggin' it. Hope they come back to NYC soon.

  • @SkeeterNYC iggy pop loved zep, i think that's cool....iggy is an awesome dude and open minded too, my fav from him is lust for life...that album fucking owns

  • great album, i adore it. Love you Robert xox <3

  • RP is doing very nice without the LedZeppelin band, I don't know why people can't accept that, why should he return to the past, let him make new exciting sounds and push music forward not backward. Even when he plays "old" songs, he adds a new approach to it, in the same way Peter Gabriel did/does. Robert, I saw you with LZ at the Bath Blues festival in 1969, and since hearing Dazed and confused have been a fan ever since!

  • This album is a must for all. Period. I know there is chaos and inconsistency. Life's a bitch, ain't it? This album is what bands in the great days used to do - play what you love, @#$% the A&R guy - translated for the current generation - @#$% iTunes.

  • It's more than obvious that he made the album as an exploration of his roots and what he's into historically. He's not making a pop/rock album. That's why its on Decca and not some mainstream label. He's not trying to make something that appeals to everyone and is played all over pop radio. And at this point in his career why should he? He has an audience and he's using that position to turn people onto what he wants to expose musically.

  • I sense another Grammy ...just sayin' ;)

  • Robert Plant is the MAN!!!

  • tried to enter competition hmmmm. libraries are apparently public...ha! so, who is the angel? you....

  • HOW ABOUT GETTING BACK WITH JIMMY PAGE, JOHN PAUL JONES, AND JASON BONHAM FOR A LED ZEPPELIN WORLD TOUR!!!! I like what what you're doing now, it's fucking great. It would just be better if Led Zeppelin came in back into the world to show everyone what real rock sounds like. Today's stuff is just a bunch of babbling half-wits incoherantly rhyming or overly brutal sounds companied with vocalists sounding like they're puking. I love what you're doing now Plant I do, but Led Zeppelin is the best.

  • Great interview. No offense intended but from the soundbytes, it sounds like an album I can live without : (

  • @Medhb i would recommend getting it

  • @DoNotObey1 The problem though is that Robert Plant is playing mostly Led Zeppelin songs during his concerts with Band of Joy. That's why i'm saying he's being a hypocrite. Robert Plant is not moving on as you say, he's just making sure that only he is in the spotlight by playing Zeppelin songs with Band of Joy. That makes him a hypocrite and and egomaniac. If he wanted to move on, he would be playing Band of Joy material only, not 90% Led Zeppelin songs.

  • @eleven1189 But that's the point. If Led Zeppelin are done and done, why is Robert Plant resurrecting an even older band? And why is he playing so many Led Zeppelin songs in his Band of Joy concerts? This is Robert Plant making it all about Robert Plant.

  • @alden21 your so stupid it makes my head hurt..... they play the zep songs because the crowd grew up listening to those songs.. just crowd pleasers.. let the man do what he wants with his career. you have no idea about anything going on in his life....supid

  • @alden21 your so stupid it makes my head hurt..... they play the zep songs because the crowd grew up listening to those songs.. just crowd pleasers.. let the man do what he wants with his career. you have no idea about anything going on in his life....stupid

  • Robert Plant will never get back with Led Zeppelin because he would have to share the spotlight with the others. That's the real and only reason, Plant is a fucking narcissistic egomaniac and an all around asshole.

  • @alden21 your a fucking idiot... Mainly the reason he doesnt want to do it is because is best friend John Bonham wouldnt be apart of it.... He wont get back together out of respect for him.. 68-80 was the years of zeppellin... has some respect for this legend

  • What an asshole this guy is! He stubbornly refuses to get back together with Led Zeppelin because it's "in the past" so he revisits the band he was in before them and has the gall to mostly fill the show out with Zeppelin songs. Plant is a hypocrite, a fucking moron, and a self centered navel gazing egomaniac. Fuck You Robert Plant!!!

  • @alden21 Dude, you have an opinion but you are expressing it in an offensive way. I think Plant can do whatever he wants to and if not playing with Zep again is a choice he has made then so be it. The fact that they have kept to not reforming Zep ( with the 3 exceptions ) shows that they are not hypocrites or sell-outs to the pressure from the music industry that merely sees dollar signs attached to a Zep reunion. Bottom line is you are not happy for some reason and are trying to flame here.

  • I saw Robert with Zeppelin in the 70s, solo in the 80s and playing with Jimmy Page in the 90s.

Sounds like Bob's got another great record coming out.

    That's 3 in a row.

    Keep a rocking Rob.

  • JIMMY PAGE SHOULD MAKE A ALBUM ALSO

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM xD

  • People like Darrell Scott and Buddy MIller have ten times the talent of Robert Plant. I really don't know why they have team up with him? Check out the solo work by these guys if you don't know them.

    Just my own opinion)

  • thank YOU Robert.................

  • These songs sound perfectly classic.

  • this sounds cool! i still wanna hear the whaling he did with Zep cuz i know he can still get up to at least some of those notes. He's gotta get back together with them after this is album is all said and done. I like his solo stuff and his music with Alison Krauss, but the world wants Led Zeppelin.

  • @cheezysneezy i hate to tell u but robert said Zeppelin wont ever get back together again

  • @nano952 I'm just hoping he changes his mind.

  • @cheezysneezy The last Thing he said was that I can't speak about that, as I'm not in control of destiny. It's not for anybody to say. Anything is possible, but it'll take a lot to turn it into something worthwhile. It was tough tearing into those songs after 27 years, but it was quite something. The sense of the event [at the 2007 reunion at London’s O2 Arena] was so big in comparison to any one of us individually

  • awesome interview..so well done...LOVE to listen/watch Robert sing as well as talk - so articulate, intellegent, insightful, and honest.

  • So happy the 80's ended so now so many 60's legends are getting back to playing music with real instruments and not that 80's kick drum poop and synth dump

  • LuneyTune72 The songs are COVERS!! He says it right off!! "Simple, cliche?"

Those writers are some of the BEST!! Get a clue before you post nonsense..'specially when you say it's Page when ya mean Plant!!

  • Robert...if you just wanna sing...I just wanna listen!!! Thanks for the great music I've heard my whole life!!

    Band of Joy, INDEED!!

  • Basically, he just wants to sing :)

  • Whats the bets that Monkey will be used as a piece of incidental music used on an upcoming episode of CSI Vegas...I can see it now in the hands of the editor of the show...all those mixing shots, fading in and out while this atmospheric track is layered over the top...G...

  • well i wouldnt even know that cause i dont watch it ill just be listening to the album

  • what could possibly be better than "Plant - like" !!! ..always fresh and certainly exciting and inovative...cant wait to see Robert on the uk tour and love Angel Dance already ......x

  • whoa cool! i've been so excited for this to be released!! i love all of robert plant's solo stuff, especially fate of nations and now and zen..but it's all good, and these songs sound very promising!!! :)

  • i can't wait for Robert Plant's solo album to come out, i am a committed fan, to Zeppelin, and i am committed to him, nothing will ever change that, even a bad album, because he is a wonderful artist, love forever.

  • From what I'm hearing on the album, the songs sound good, good Plant vocals, but the lyrics?...Not Page's best. I don't understand why he's writing such simple, cliche lyrics. At least write a ballad that has something new to offer.

  • @LuneyTune72 , the lyrics are not Plant´s, the songs of the album are covers, this one is from the band Los Lobos ;)

  • @LuneyTune72 , the lyrics are not Plant´s, the songs of the album are covers, and the first single, Angel Dance, is from band Los Lobos ;)

  • I was 15 and helping a school mate with his paper round Malcolm McClure as I remember and we were in the Newsagents putting the house numbers on the papers and putting them in the sack when I saw a couple of guys walk in go up to the counter and buy a pack of cigarettes and a couple of Mars bars to my astonishment it was Plant and Page. The moment will always live with me. Always my Heroes. Edgbaston, Birmingham 1969.

  • robert has come back to his best great music and vision i want the album now

  • i would like to say a few thing first zeppelin is god and robs music has saved my life to bring you out the hard sad times and give you the rymth to dance your way through this shit world and all the clowns and jokers

  • sounds interesting, hopefully as good as mighty rearranger

  • Robert looks and vocally sounds great as usual as only he can, but once again with his solo work im left with the "amazing vocals, shit music" feeling. I worship robert for his Zeppelin work and supported his solo endevours for a long time but I wont be buying this album.

  • Robert Plant has the best lyrics in music. I love him.

  • Monkey sounds absolutely amazing.

  • So excited for this album. It's going to be fantastic.

  • cool interview

  • Can't wait for this album!

  • this is great

  • You did great Robert.............Keep the faith.... and being true to yourself and your music. I love it. Your loyal fan since 1969.

  • @downbythecside since 1969? you're awesome
