yeah, edward doesn't have black hair, in the first chapter when bella first sees edward in the cafeteria she describes him as "lanky, less bulky, with untidy bronze-colored hair" darn that is the exact description of robert pattison (well his hair isn't quit so bronze in the movie but i'll let it slid since he's so hot!!lol)

I'd much rather the vampire character be played by the traditional tall, dark (hair) and handsome type (like a younger version of Johny Depp) and for the werewolf to be a blond.

The handsome creature in Stephanie's dream was supposed to be so beautiful, exquisite, and altho this person here is good looking, he's nowhere near what I imagined the dream guy would look like. I hope the Director was the best, as the kids don't seem to have much oomp!! in their acting.

Well, to be perfectly honest, Stephenie Meyer explained Edward to be perfect, and as we know, no one's perfect. But when we set our expectations so high that nothing on this earth can possibly reach them, then there's no humanly (or vampire or werewolf) way possible for the real thing to match up.
