The album that got me listening to the mighty quo. My sister's boyfriend at the time gave her a copy of it for her birthday and she hated it so it sort of got passed down to me.
I think it's one of the best songs the Quo ever did, rockin' straight from the heart, thanks to mr. Parfitt. (this song is with Alan and the mighty John on drums). Quo Rocks !!
@nwleeuw actually, I think Andy Bown wrote and sang the song first (in 1975). LLL was on the If You Can't Stand The Heat album which was released two years after.
I was disappointed when I bought the album , this was the last Quo Album I bought . by then long were the days good albums like on the level , Hello Piledriver , Blue for you and all other s, Rockin all over the world was the start of the decline .
Been a huge Quo fan in the States for years. I think sometimes I was born on the wrong side of the Atlantic. Big Thin Lizzy and Gary Moore fan as well. I hope I can catch the Quo live one day.
@docbluez Hey docbluez Not born on the wrong side of the Atlantic I Love the Quo and Lizzy also it's just great music wherever you come from right. I also Love North American bands like tom petty and Heart. stay cool man pity the quo never made in the US.
I remember this album ''If You Cant Stand The Heat'' being slated back in the day, but IMO this was one of the very best Quo albums, They tried to stretch their sound and loved loved the brass sections and Female backing
i sed to my dad did francis take cocaine in the 70's and he said yes and he also sed that part of his nose fell off in the shower one day due to the cocaine i cound'nt belive!!
Yes I have seen the Ol Rag Blues vid. But I did say No birds on a Quo SONG not no birds in a Quo vid!! You can have as many as ya want in the vid but keep 'em off the records. Not being sexist of course!!
Superb from the Quo. I've not heard this one before! The opening 3 seconds on this video is from 'What's Going On' by Taste, whom Quo have admitted their admiration for the late, great Rory Gallagher. Great stuff!
Frankly, 3 albums of covers superior to the originals is not bad. On the other hand, with so few albums, they needed more original content. If The Beatles can do a brand-new album over a weekend, Status Quo should have been able to throw out 3 albums of covers AND an album of hardened originals a year without breaking into a sweat.
They didnt want to do the cover albums, they were forced into them by management and Record Companies. They should have had the guts to say No just like they did in 1969 when they changed their style to the Rock/Blues there famous for
Quality song by a quality band. First time iv herd this song knowing what the song title is and the lyrics. Its played every week at Oakside stadium when Barkingside FC play. Our chairman loves the QUO!
Great clip - great song, from the masters of high energy rock 'n' roll. Because it's mimed to the recorded sound track, Rossi can afford to chew, as his vocals are done ahead of time! Rather less well known Quo song, perhaps because of the 'orchestral' support. But one of the great rock classics.
Loved it! Not really live of course, but nice live vibe all the same! The album was really not at all bad, but suffered from a really dodgy production and mix.
Ändlich e mole e geile song mit mim Name ¨! Linda ,Linda, Linda,Linda ,Linda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@nwleeuw As much as I love mr Parfitt, I must say it's thanks to Andy Bown, who wrote the song. It's still kicking some serious butt though!

Think this was a last attempt to break America. It had that over produced rock sound that the yanks like.
One of only 3 or 4 decent tracks on the album.
