My guess is that it's a slow echo sound from his delay pedal. It's the same effect as a volume swell but more precise.

The fact is the other albums dont kick its arse, thats your opinion, but the bends seems more raw and spontanious and exciting perhaps more then the later albums, a classic album og 95, up there with the other great albums ..guitars or not ..

lol I like You, Vegetable, and blow out more than Treefingers; although Everything in its right place is one of my favorites.
