Agiles are g8! I upgraded mine with SD Blackouts and Planet Waves locking tuners....I love it!!! I had an Ibanez RG 1527 but this guitar is way better!!! Sounds better!!!

@dangerwildman1000 I guess it's my only 7, but after getting an Agile and playing some Jackson and Ibanez 7s in guitar shops, I'm very satisfied. I like the feel of it better. It's definitely not a bad choice no matter what.

Sadly I have yet to buy one so far due to my band being on tour and me watching my money. But I plan on either getting a custom shop with spalted maple top or getting the natty finished one. My tips when it comes to sweeps is get guitar pro and get some sweep tabs. it'll help with your ear and muscle memory

Nice man, a custom shop one would be hella expensive!! Just changing the color almost doubles the price so it will be super long time before ya get one :( if only we musicians could make obscene amounts of cash!! Hahaha, thanks man!

Hey man nice review and clarifications. But i have to ask what your settings are on your amp, and what crate model it is. I've played on a crate flex wave and couldn't really get it heavy, and when it was heavy it was really sensitive so it didn't sound so clean with sweeps. I currently have a peavey vyper 15 watt and like it but need more distortion (even with a ml-2 pedal) I think that it might be a few faulty wires though, but any suggestions would help.!!!!

Sorry for the late reply jacob. Honestly I don't know what model it is, though it is very old. I love it for a practice amp, it has a badass tone. Live I use a peavy 5150II through a Randal cab loaded with Celestians. Great amp. But ya, all I know is the combo I use is discontinued.

Sorry for the late reply bro, thanks so much for buying our EP! I feel ya, I too would like more growls, back ups, ect. There were supposed to be more in the mix but the guy we recorded with sketched on us... As far as the singing, my singer has never done that ammount of singing before, all the old material he screamed on so he wanted to do something a bit different. I promise that the Full length will have ALLOT of screaming on it :)

Have you played a schecter Jeff Loomis signature guitar? If so how did it compare to your agile interceptor?

I really want a agile interceptor but I have like $1,000 store credit with the local music store that is a dealer for schecter so I am kinda stuck with that or Ibanez.

Ya man, my guitarist uses a Loomis actually. Amazing guitar, both have a very uniqe sound. The Loomis. I would honestly use that $1000 for a loomis or get an agile and get a badass head or somethin. But both of them are 5 star guitars in my opinion

Not sure if you give a dam but I decided to go with a Schecter Blackjack ATX C-7. I went with that because it has blackouts and is a hardtail. I want to get a hardtail because this will be my only guitar until I get the Agile so I want the reliability of a hardtail. I will also have the blackouts to compare with the EMGs when I get the agile to see if it is worth changing the EMGs over to blackouts. The money I save getting the ATX can be put towards the Agile too.

I hear the 707s are superior to the EMG 81-7 so I would go with the Agile myself. Jeff Loomis uses the 707s in his schecter.

I would rather have the ebony fretboard on the Agile too.

Main question is do you want a hardtail or a floating bridge? I am getting a tremol-no for my interceptor when I get it so I can lock the bridge down or have it as dive bomb only.

Well gotta think about price. The LTD is mahogany, and just that. The agile, all the goodies, maple, mahogany, emg's all that stuff for about 400 cheaper! I'd go with the Agile any day. Having played the LTD you're considering... Agile hands down

Ever consider the 18V mod? Not sure how it is with 707s but it is a pretty popular mod with the EMG 81s (which I have done to my EMG 81 and 85.)

Are you going to get a 27" scale one to try out? I would like to hear your thoughts on 25.5 vs 27.

haha, hmm where to begin. The frets are extra jumbo but feel great! Great catch, great playability. I've considered the mod, but the battery compartment would have to be expanded to do so, which in that case I would have to take off some wood so I decided against it :\ The 25.5 VS 27... I'd have to say 27, more tension, better sound. Only reason why I got the 25.5 is honestly because my hands can't really function on a 27 as much. I don't have long fingers for a big reach like I do on a 25.
