This is one of my all time favorite songs, especially the way Ben chooses to pronounce, "numb." But I have to tell ya' your cover, even though the singer took that verse in an entirely different direction, the power of the lyrics aren't lost to me. Your cover gave me a fresh interpretation. Not a bad cover. It's always good to hear a song you like done a little differently.

But I am fairly sure this song was originally written on an acoustic guitar and later moved to the piano. I have seen Ben Folds himself play thi ssong live on an acoustic guitar, at which point, memory serving, he said he wrote the music on guitar, not piano.
