Pardon me but oh my god you look so cute you remind me of Jaebeom...and your teaching on fish and short sleeve t shirt is so clear...I am more motivated to get into my Korean lessons now especially after watching you. You're my new Korean language idol...May I fan-girl at you?
lol, its the easiest way to learn korean, just jumping into the language with a dictionary, and a large open mind. LOL. But yeah, he does have ALOT of books, wonder if its an office of some short.
I'm not actually learning Korean, but you know something? I find your videos absolutely fascinating and they're drawing me towards wanting to learn it. Keep these videos coming Hyunwoo
wow this is very useful!! I'm currently trying my hardest to learn korean but I'm also learning japanese so I get the two confused. Thanks for this! soo interesting!!
I saw this Japanese video of someone who ordered sushi where they cut it off the fish and ate it while the fish, having been placed back into the aquarium, was still swimming around.
What shall we call this kind of 'fish' in Korean?^^
I need help I am going to Korea this year for school (cant wait) but I need help learning I tried KOreanclass101 but that didnt help so is there anything that u think could help me
아! 감사합니다! 저는 한국어를 공부해요. 그래서 그 비디오 진짜 재미있어요! 제 아름은 메간 (Megan)이에요. 반갑슴니다 현우 씨!Even though I am learning Korean, I am still very basic with it, but I am trying to practise as often as possible. It is hard though, because I dont get to speak Korean often, but- I am trying my best to practise alone ^^ So thank you for this video, and other videos you have uploaded. They are helpful!
I'm not Korean American ^^;; I lived my entire life in Korea, but I really like learning new languages and like to practice whenever I can :) hehe. Thanks! Did you go to the 연고전 this year, btw? I went to Korea Uni. :D :D
Hahaha :) yeah 물고기 and 불고기 sound very similar, right? Hehe. But 물고기 is actually pronounced like '물꼬기' and 불고기 is '불고기' so the '고' is a bit different so you can tell the difference by that. Hehe.
When I first got to Korea I remember saying, "생선 있다!" when pointing some fish out in 청계천 and my friend couldn't stop laughing... I've also said, "내 커퓨터 죽었다" which in English, is doable... but I guess (based on reaction) doesn't quite fly in English. ; ) Thanks for the vids!
that's like spanish we say pez when the fish's alive.. and when is dead and out of the water is named pescado =)

How come when you say 물고기 it sounds like "bulgogi" instead of "mulgogi" ?
peachysnapples 1 year ago
@peachysnapples a lot of korean consonants have a soft sound and one sound can easily sound like the other.
non koreans mix them up very often
ex. gamsahapnida -> ppl mix it up as -> hamnida..
it's a ㅂ consonant (p) and ppl mix it up as ㅁ (m)
tokee1234567 1 year ago
@tokee1234567
When being pronounced, the sound of some letters get altered a little bit.
Like "Seupnida" often becomes "Seumnida".
I don't know why, it's just how I was taught. Be on the look out for both.
kickthecat911 1 year ago
It's the same in spanish!
There's two types of concept for fish.
Pez - mulkogi
Pescado - saengson
Right?

Another one i've discovered:
불means fire.
꽃means flower.
불꽃놀이 means fireworks. Very poetic to think of fireworks as "fire flower".
