so the "Libra-Copter" was shot down by the airforce? many guys in the news choppers & air-force are nice, but these guys should have gave ezra a chance to finish the live report & get out of the area.
ynkno13 - Every station is different - but yes, all of the software is professional mixing stuff that is tied directly into the hardware of the board/CD trays etc.
@JPizzle1122 In 2001, I always thought that the old DMX Radio from AT&T Digital Cable used a Windows XP Computer playing bunch of audio files from Windows Media Player and FM radio stations used Vinyl Records and kept rerecording the songs on different records for cueing.
With a good demo tape, i'm sure you can get a job at a local radio station.
Here in Holland, lots of radio stations have a lack of evening DJ's (which i find very strange, as most local DJ's do radio on the side of their jobs).
Maybe a fun thing to look into if you're looking to get back in to the radio business. (Make sure it's a station that also broadcasts via the internet, so i can listen to it over here ;))
OverSoft - Well, the local market is Boston... its quite competitive. I haven't time to really pursue it for full-time yet, as I still have a regular video job - but next year I will probably try switching careers.
Unfortunately, 100% of the DJ's moved to Hollywood. We have joked about brining the show back in some capacity, but without a studio, it is very difficult.
We recorded over 50 episodes though, and none of them were every really timely, so definitely check out some of the older episodes if you want a good laugh with some great music.
That's some pretty neat setup you've got there. Damn, I hate to think how much it must've all cost... and where did you get the mixer and mic arms from? >_<
Maybe you didn't watch the video, or read the description, but that room is the WECB Master Control studion here at Emerson College... not my personal bed room. I have no idea how much it all cost, but I'm paying enough in tuition anyway.

Do radio stations use special programs to play the music, or is it like WinAmp?

In the beginning, how did you make the ideo logo? How did you make the new ideo logo?

You sound really good on radio. You definitely have a good DJ voice and rhythm.
Do you still do some radio?
OverSoft 2 years ago
OverSoft - Sadly... no - I no longer have access to any of the Emerson equipment, being an alumni and everything.
But I hope to get back into it as a profession, as I always really enjoyed it - and many people seemed to think I was really good at it.
