@chloe290983 The short/sweet answer is yes, but of course it's more complicated then that.

I see it as a two sides of the same coin. TVP has broken things down using naturalistic causality to come upon a viable solution based on the earth and its resources. The other side of the coin in TZM, focusing on education/awareness which is essential in order to lead up to something like TVP.

Without understandings, we'll keep making biased decisions instead of arriving at a reasoned conclusions.

If it weren't for the waste inherent in capitalism we would actually be much richer by now. Capitalism just came at the right time (for it not us) and got the credit for making us wealthy (the 20% or so on earth who are at least) which really belongs to oil.

I don't believe a techno-anarchist reality is possible just yet. Give it another 40 years when we'll have computers that can compute with the intelligence of the human brain at the speed of light. It's true. Communism has no relevance to the Venus Project because Communism and the like are still based on labor and monetary gain. Bottom line, no matter what faults the system may have, two things will exist in the current system:

1. Endless waste will be produced for the sake of maintaining financial profit.

And 2. When human well-being is a high second priority to monetary gain, no one can expect decency in other people.

I personally also thought a RBE was utopian pipe dream when I first heard about it. But after reading, learning more, playing around with ideas Ive come to the conclusion that theres more good to it and although I dont agree on all details I think the challenge its worth exploring. I wasnt the fist to dismiss it prematurely as utopian and wont be the last, imo its almost normal to dismiss it at first because we are soaking in our present system its hard to evaluate very different alternatives
