  • 2:50-3:05, nerds gone wild

  • looks a lil boring

  • life in the sub is not easy XD

  • OMG, there are soo many desis in nuke scool...Damn, I am proud.

  • SECF is the enlisted tech side of subs, Basicly an SECF candidate can go sonar, firecontrol tech, et nav or radio. Its tuff a large majority of the guys here get kicked out. 100% focus is needed ON YOUR JOB at all times.

  • Typical, officers off jetskiing while we enlisted do all the work onboard.

  • @paltheon232 Yep, I was just thinking how times have not changed... 'was a Silversides SSN 679 Plankowner nuc and spent way too much time aboard instead of off playin'

  • Good Job guys. It does look like a lot of fun! But I do have serious mixed feelings about the military.

  • Don't have to paint a sub underway like on a surface ship.

  • Holy Crap, this was the boat I was on, the mexican officer was my Division officer, Btw during the part the officers were jet skiing, the enlisted guys who do all the work were prolly ugghhhh....yeah, still working, some times for almost 15 hours straight

  • Also @123nypd the only reason he couldn't join would be his age, not because he's Colombian. If you swear allegiance to America, and are qualified to join it's military, there isn't anything stopping you. Nothing but his age is stopping him.

  • Also @TheProtocolsofzion go fuck yourself, you dumbass conspiracy spreading moron.

  • Isn't it funny that this video is about training and the lifestyle to being a submariner but in the comment section the only thing people focus on is some guy saying "bad ass", its his life so, who gives a fuck? For real.

  • i can't believe the naval officer at 4:16 used "badass".....aren't military officers not supposed to curse like that? isn't that what it's meant to be an officer and a gentleman...

  • @aznkent29 yove ever heard of the term "curse like a sailor"

  • @TheAirbornesolider have you ever heard of the phrase, "an officer and a gentleman?"

  • @aznkent29 a sailor is a sailor no matter what rank and no matter what job

  • @TheAirbornesolider yeah i know that.....but all individuals serving in the military have to abide by the UCMJ....that's where the phrase "an officer and a gentleman" comes from.....

  • @aznkent29 The guy is becoming a gentlemen he is just a up and rising officer lets stop arguing and have peace he is fighting for our country and serving his country, so for Christ sake give the guy a break he is protecting use while we are arguing about he is aloud to cuse or not.

  • @TheAirbornesolider ok w/e.....i've just been told that officers are not supposed to use any curse word.....nvm then....

  • @aznkent29 in their case it takes an act of Congress to make them a 'gentleman'...

my parents taught me how to be one... I was one of the guys you don't get to see in these videos because they're working, not playing... (an enlisted nuc)

  • I just signed my enlistment contact to attend Nuclear Propulsion School! I ship out to Great Lakes on January 5th! Hopefully I'll be the third generation of nuclear submariners in my family.

  • Just for the record the sub comming through the ice is a British Trafalger Class.

  • haha im about to enlist as an SECF cant wait to eat shit underwater

  • I enlisted as an SECF i ship out on April 26.

  • @xXinsaneboyXx I am also an SECF I leave for basic October 24, 2011.

  • Best. Job. Ever.

THIS job would be the only reason i would join the navy!

  • what a cool add!

  • Bubbleheads Rule! I served on SSN 612 in WestPac '72. What a ride!

  • what is he talking about? ensigns don't drive boats, enlisteds do

  • 3:02 : Join the Navy, WE HAVE JET SKIS!!!!!

  • Nuke bubbleheads.... totally different navy

  • 3:18 (call of duty)

  • @jscrl5 No its not

  • does every seal gets to go into a submarine??

  • i´m 32 years old, i would like to be a navy officer, i´m from colombia, what could i do for be an officer and join to the navy??

  • @jm13colombiano you can join the colombian navy . they HAVE SUBMARINES TOO

  • @jm13colombiano Your to old plus your not American Its not possible.

  • Typical "Join the Army, See the World" bs.

  • As someone who guards submarines on a daily basis i can say there is no more worthless part of the Navy then subnastys, they pick up rank insanely fast (i see more e-6 subnastys then e-1 through e-4) and everyone last one of them doesnt know how to wear there uniform ITS A FUCKING 8 POINT NOT A BALLCAP

  • I always though it was submariner, but he just said sub-mariner. Is it correct both ways?

  • Russians also make subs without proper shielding or safety equipment. A primary shield? Who needs that?

  • I was Loling at the LTJG and his backwards ribbons.

  • 1:48 .. is he black or indian?, he has a black accent but looks like an indian

  • @mixolidianmode does it really matter?

  • u-boots is the best!!!!! real mans!!!

  • Given the market value of the houses in my area, plus the high density of housing of 2500 residences per square mile, You can buy a whole Square MILE of houses Downtown for under 40 Million USD...

WTF do we need a 1,500,000,000$ machine for?!? The politicians wonder why we are in debt with China's pocket... I call Bullshit...

  • @Joell5678 Russians make their subs for half that price lol

  • @USMCjunior117 probably why they've had numerous nuclear incidents and we've had ZERO...just saying

  • Comment removed

  • @Joell5678 They can carry nukes for one.

  • the ensign had his ribbons on backwards lol

  • Hahahahaha.... OMG.... XD

Take a closer look at the diagram on the board at 2:12

  • @disbuylshite Actually most of the drawings in the Nuclear Navy have a funny way of looking dirty like that.

  • @disbuylshite lol

  • @fckngolddighoez18, Everyone branch has to do something to protect our nation. The Navy does so at sea.

  • don't be jealous that they're actually doing something for the security of this country and its interest abroad while you sit on the couch at home wihle mom and dad earn the money

  • Haha, they shot this video on the USS Topeka, I was on the boat with half of these guys. Smirnoff

  • actually it was the Jefferson City

  • Good eye. lol

  • 10 seconds i. can anyone tell me what's wrong with Ensign shmuckatelie's ribbons?

  • I can't believe they included him in this video with that glaring error. Normally people saying "attention to detail" annoy me...but seriously?

  • You beat me to the comment.... That's embarrassing.

  • talking of finances and usefulness: There is a series, called "Carrier". a documentary, about the USS Nimitz. that ship was deployed to Iraq for several months and it's airplanes didn't drop a single bomb. now THAT was waste of money. Even the pilots were frustrated, because they had nothing to do there. now here we go, the whole country is one big target for an air strike, and U R saying: that armed forces consider it useless and expensive? how about almost daily attacks on the cargo vessels?

  • actually I'm not one of those conspiracy freaks, moreover I do support the US troops. It just seemed to me, that U were afraid to "piss them off", because they can retaliate. I just gave you an example, that US used to piss off a toughter enemy. Nobody has to actually "GO" to Somalia. several airstrikes on their bases and probably a SEAL raid would shut them down for good. US, as well as other nations already have a large fleet over there. why not to use it?

  • US waged a war against Iraq and Afghanistan, but is afraid of a bunch of starving kids with rpgs and ak's? they dont even have enough money for a 1 way ticket to US!! hiding your head in the sand is not an option

  • Can anyone tell me why the US Navy refuses to engage the two-bit Somali carjackers in rubber rafts? Why isn't the US Navy sinking all Somali boats, rafts etc that close to within 400yds of a US flagged vessel?

  • sinking those little boats is not a long time solution. Need some airstrikes on their land bases- that's the key. even though some pussies will accuse us in hurting their "human rights" and "invading innocent country" =)

  • There is no engagement, because there would have to be 1:1 protection of every large vessel traversing near the Somali coast to and from the Suez Gulf; too expensive and labor-intensive.

The US Navy is not sinking pirate vessels because they are small, the ocean is vast and again, you'd have to track them from the time they put in to sea. They are small enough to remain with the "noise" on most radar.

Somali pirates are a third-world problem on the backside of the world's only Hyperpower.

  • so are you saying the US govt should just continue to let somali scumbags attack our merchant vessals like the 2nd attempted attack of the Maersk Alabama? Any idea why Thomas Jefferson commissioned the USN in order to confront the barbary pirates?

  • I just hope these kids can be trusted in using the firepower provided if necessary...

  • Someone still has to scrub the head, make the meals, type up the reports and take out the trash; and there is no sunlight or fresh air.

  • thats why nuke sub officers fit in so well there; they lived in their moms' basements until they joined the Navy, hahaha.

  • The ELITE, US Military

  • Sweet video.
