Haha that looks ace. Been years since I last had much to do with big rc airplanes. Had an indoor one which I lived but my cat mangled it :( Never bothers with mice and birds etc now at 20 years old. Just that plane of mine, me and that small deer that comes in the garden.
How easy / difficult would it be for a beginner to fly? I wouldn't be doing anything fancy with it. Just around in circles and this way and that with the camera going.
I think the best thing would be to find a local club and go round there. They are usually very helpful and in the initial stages get you in the air with little or no expense to yourself while you decide what you want to do.
I would recommend you join a club and get free lessons on a club plane. that way you would learn the safety issues first. I am speaking from experience having been hospitalised twice with model aircraft injuries. in fact typing this with one hand fro necessity
hello, i have a few questions. how long does it fly with one battery? flying range or speed? is it possible to transmit live images from the plane to the ground while flying?
i am looking forward to adquire a similar model. thanks for the video!
With a 2200MAh and 200W motor flies for 12 minutes. It is possible to transmit live pictures but I find that you get better quality images with a onboard camera like the flycamone2 (see my video of Portland Lighthouse)
Yes it has aierons with independant servos so can be used as flaps/spoilers. It has a v tail for elevator and rudder, but I cut a smallish rudder in the fin

This is why real UAV's don't have mic's onboard

So the camera comes with the plane inside of it, right?

I think the only way would be to load the predator into FMS flight simulation system or use FPV. You can look up those terms on Google

What are you using for the camera? Do you have a live video feed on the ground, or is it just recording the video for later viewing?
insanity54 2 years ago
It resords for later viewing, although there are fpv systems available

I have the same camera and used the fusealage, were did you stick the camera and how did you stick it to the plane?
markdalziel 4 years ago
The predator has the prop at the back so I just stuck it under the nose. It has a mirror to look forward.
