Perks is a solid book... this guy has a very raw I can't sing but I'll make myself sound the best I can Ben Gibbard type feel to his voice. It's nice, but I feel like it detracts a bit from the desperate longing of the song. 4/5

Thanks, man. I'm thinking about the idea of a tutorial or some simplified tabs (ie tabs without rhythm notation). I actually figured this out by reading the piano transcription from the Louder than bombs tab book. I also imagined how Marr would play this on guitar and tried to emulate his style (open strings, slides, etc).

your description is interesting because i can play this on piano and guitar and it feels alot more natural on guitar. maybe it was composed on guitar originally and whoever played the piano on the record felt more comfortable playing in C. or maybe they transposed it.

I actually used the piano score for this guitar arrangement. But I've also recently learned to play it on the piano. I think this tune played in C is very natural both for piano and guitar. And Marr did compose it on the piano, because a while ago I asked him (on his website) if he also plays the song on guitar and he said no.
