Ummm. Read Genesis 11:1-9 The lord stopped the builduing of the tower of babel. Genesis 11:7 "Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another". 11:8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth. God wanted to spread people through out the world and diversify language. So why would the popes go against this and say "...Requires a language which is universal..." Pope Pius XI
@K20God Because the Church is the guide and requires a language that all can unite together in unity, as it has been done for centuries. Do you doubt the Church's position as the guide? Then you are in violation of the Dictatus Papae.
I grew up in the catholic culture and of a Latin mass.. It is so nostalgic for me.. So beautiful to listen to... But.. ButGod want his adoration from the mass of humanities who can understand their prayers... Latin is dead long ago.. So will be a devotion that people don't understand it's meanings... We are not all saints
This video is wrong about one thing...one of the deacon's duties is and always was, even before Vatican II, the distribution of the Blessed Sacrament. Only a priest can consecrate, but a deacon may touch and distribute the Eucharist.
Pope St. Victor was the first one I believe that wrote in Latin and said the mass in latin, but at the time it was unofficial. St. Pius V Made it more popular and more reconized. God bless you!

Couldn't you have used a darker color for the lettering. I can't see what is written.
