i guess the larger dump pipe and cat make a difference. i dont abuse my car but to do something like that i would need to have the left foot on the brake, he just stalled it up. i'd be keen to give it ago in someone elses car tho.......
i done a similar thing in mine, its a bf xr6t, 6spd auto, i let the brake off and it spun all the way to 4th at bout 4900rpm. then i backed off. and its stock.

i got it when it had 5005 kays on it and it is stock, probly was a bit of a fluke. havent done it agen since, but i will do it agen when tyres a due and post it
Relax guys, I hate that the I6 is going too, I own an XR6T myself n love it. but from some of the tests with the new engine already there is more power and not only that the twin turbo version makes over 300kws. theres a rumor that it was pulling away from a sub 5 second car that was chasing it under full throttle. I'd beleaive it too. Do you really think Ford are gonna put out a slower car than whats on the market their already struggling and they have the best car on the market atm.
The new Duratec V6 Ford are gonna use is voted in the top 10 of the worls best 6 cylinder engines. In twin turbo guise it makes more grunt than the current typhoon. Ford won't fuck it up.
A falcon is known as a falcon due to its Inline 6...It will not make as much power/low down torque as the current inline. On paper it may show more power, but you must understand these engines are soooo restricted its not funny. Not only that, with around 4k you can make your XR6T/typhoon run high 11's all day. Besides a diesel, tell me another engine that makes peak torque @ 2000rpm and will do 1,000,000 Cliks AND run on LPG
I love the inline 6 and wish it wasn't going, I even own one. Just saying that it won't be as bad as it seems having the new engine. Hopefully they give the future Falcons sharper gearing to combat the loss of low down torque of the current beast.
Yeah well lets hops so, i just hate the fact that the ever popular inline is going after 40 years of reliable motoring (apart from head gaskets and rear main leaks in the early days!) Even so with thoes issues, everyone knows its a falcon
