it is a tuning that Pat Kirtley uses quite a bit and but i've never seen it used anywhere else. I enjoy playing in it - it has a modal sound at times. All the best,
thanks for the kind words, means a lot from someone such as yourself! KY is blessed with some of the best - hope all is well and I sure appreciate you watching, dale.
Great job. I really like that tune, as well. Two questions that I can't tell from the angle of the video: 1. Do you use a thumbpick? 2. Do you fret any bass notes with your left thumb? I've been shying away from learning Pat's tunes because I can't fret with my left thumb cleanly.

I have owned a OOO-18 (1952) since I bought it in 1969. It is nice to hear these crystal tomes coming from you, too. Solid playing, man. Kudos.

it is.......i personally don't like the big guard of the 000 - so off it went! great eye to notice!!

Very nice job on a great tune. Love the guitar. I think the tone on the 000-18GE blows away the tone on the Standard 000-18.

planetside11, I do not use a thumbpick, I use my nail, and I do not use my thumb for any bass notes on this piece. Thanks for watching!
