@Monochromorator Congrats! I hope this tutorial has set you up for a lifetime of enjoying sock knitting! (Your family and friends are going to be making a lot of sock requests very soon...)
Thank you for your easy to follow videos! Keep it up :-) I just knitted my first pair of socks without any mistakes at first go! Only because of your clear and concise instructions!
i just completed my first sock and it was wonderful...i wish i could show u its picture... i am sooooo glad. i was almost terrified of knitting the socks lolllzzz..... ur tutorials are so helpful.. and i have so many to try... thx a lot
i notice you don't do the 'setup' to the kitchener that i see on other tutorials. the 'purl front stitch (and leave on) knit back stitch (and leave on)' before doing the 'knit (off) purl, purl (off) knit' pattern. is this an error or intentional? if the latter, could you explain the difference between your approach and what seems to be the more common one?
@lmsalim I work Kitchener Stitch the way I do intentionally. :) You can do those setup stitches, but I find that there is very little difference from one method to the other in the finished work, so I don't bother. Also, eliminating the setup stitches makes the technique easier to learn and remember for beginners. So I skip them in the videos, and in my own knitting.
I love your videos. You make it super easy to understand and the videos are crystal clear. So many videos have bad lighting and are blurred just enough to make seeing the stitches impossible.
i was wondering if anyone knows how to knit a heart shape on top of a garter square. i'm making a blanket square by square, i've made the square but i have no idea how to put the heart on. please help
@7890honey Hmm...maybe just find a free online pattern for a knit heart shape, then stitch it down to the garter square? It won't seam down super evenly, but I'm sure if you work carefully you can make it look good.
Thank you so much for you very easy to follow videos! I've been a knitter since childhood but have always veered way away from anything with DPN or circular needles.. too hard! But... whilst looking for a pattern that may have been like my grandmother's (long time passed) old bed socks (on 2 needles), I stumbled on your videos. They have been so clear & well explained that I have since picked up those dreaded 4 needles & knitted my first 4 needle socks! Thanks to you! Now on to the next pair. :D
I love the way you teach. I often watch the video where you explain the eye of the partridge. No matter how many times I watch it I still find it hilarious when you exlain about confusing the birds. Thank you for teaching us and also for making me laugh.
I am so excited! I just finished my first sock! Thanks for the clearly written pattern, but most of all for the well produced videos that made it possible for me to learn these new techniques. As soon as I am done with this pair, I will look for another pattern to purchase. Keep up the great work!

hurray! what great videos. I agree more please. i knitt socks for many years ( 5 needles) and I love it. I wanted to try magic loop for a while you explained so great. I also love the kitchener stitch demo superb job. I knitt continental and am from Europe so many phrases are new to me but you do such a great job showing that it is no issue.
More videos please!!! I love your videos. The way you teach makes it so easy for anyone to follow. I began using your videos when I first started knitting, but I now leave them in my fav's so I can go back and refresh on certain things once in awhile if I forget. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us!! ;o)
Whoohoo! I just knitted my first sock! Thank you so much for making something that I'd been dreading and intimidated by into something so simple. The directions were so well written that I only had to pop back to the vid every once in a while just to double check.
Wish I had known about this before I paid for a dumb sock class that I got nothing out of but came home & have completely knitted my first sock from watching this series of videos! Wonderful work and so well presented. Very well modulated, color of yarn such that each stitch could be seen plainly - can't rave about this enough. Thank you soooooo much.
I have just made my first sock using your pattern and videos and I'm so happy! Thank you so much. I just have to make the other one now!
