  • Excellent step by step instruction. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Most helpful and well done!

  • One additional step. Balance the dryer. It's wobbling.

  • Older Whirlpool dryers are easy to work on.

  • bless this man

  • Good stuff....worked like a charm....

  • You rock brother. Nice explanations for the noobs among us.

  • Thank you so much!!! I was able to follow other paper / manual instructions, but mounting the idle pulley to the bottom of the unit and pulling the belt through just wasn't working for me. My husband is out of town all week and I would have had to call someone or go to a laundromat. You're a lifesafer!!!

  • thx so much, help me out alot, found out i need a new belt, nd found $2.80 rofl, nd im 15 years old..

  • you are a great man

  • This was perfect. I was able to get the belt back on, but when I started the dryer it smelled like something burning. Something else must be wrong. I guess I have to buy another dryer.

  • AWESOME! Tnank you so much for doing this. Much appreciated.

  • big help! had a hell of a time getting the tentionor on. You are the best!

  • My idler pulley doesn't have a wheel on it like yours...I can't seem to find instructions online on how to install the belt on my dryer setup - Roper RES7648JQ0. Anyone here have a guide or can explain on how to install the belt on my dryer? Almost time to do my laundry again, hate to go the laundry mat again.

  • Happy to help.

  • Thanks for your helpful video. I ordered the parts on Sunday, had them on Tuesday, and the dryer is back in order today, Wednesday. I had to attempt the repair two times though. First there was a scratch that went with the drum spinning and this was a bobby pin embedded in the rear seal then as I twas cleaning up after the job, I realized I'd put it all back together with the old belt...arrgghh! Works great now!

  • Thank you for this video. For $35 worth of parts I will get another couple decades of service from my 1974 -year Kenmore dryer! The hardest part of this whole job was getting my old body back up from floor level after installing the support wheels, idler, and belt!

  • It's an older whirlpool style. If you check my site I cover some of the other style dryers.

  • What brand is this? Or are they the same (basically) for all brands?

  • Thank you i took my dryer apart and you helped me put it back togeather

  • great job

  • Thanks for posting this video. I replace my broken belt with no problem.....and no expensive service call. BTW I'm a 60+ woman, if I can do, just about anyone should feel confident to try it.

  • Thank you so much! I was replacing my dryer belt and when I opened the dryer casing I found the idler pulley laying there at the base of the dryer and couldn't figure out exactly where/how to re-attach it. You saved me a lot of time and headache! Very helpful video!

  • you saved me from having to buy a new dryer. My belt had broke and was able to buy a new belt and fix it using this video. Thank for your help!!!!
