@sypher690 did you just get FS or something? Or do you have FS2 as well but havnt got to it?
btw, getting FS1 isnt necessary anymore. If you dont know, there is the Freespace Source Code Project (SCP) / Freespace Open on Hard Light Productions, been around for some time now. The installer will put all tools you would need to mod the game (to enable shivan ships as player allowed for example, which is what I did here) as well as many other things. Most changes I do are with just wordpad though
@BloodFuzi0n Well, I got the FS1 Disk from a cousin who never uses it. (I also have silent threat.) And FS2 wasn't included. So I can't get Shivan Player-flyable ships on FS1? But, whould I need to insall the SCP AND have FS2 or what?
@sypher690 for this kind of stuff yes, I remember beams and a lot of other stuff not working in retail (for the player ship, and obviously you would need FS2 for beams). I also remember playing original fs1 and ya you can fly shivan strike craft with some .tbl file mods...but thats it.
@BloodFuzi0n It's all about positions... The Hati needs to be under the Ravana, so it can bring all of her 3 BVas to bear...actually, the ships here simply exchanging beam salvos.
Give 'em waypoints and the Ravana will get a nasty;) pounding
@Cr1zza well ya positioning matters for most capships :P this was pretty much to see what controlling a capship would be like (slightly dull, compared to being a fighter, though all I did was make it the ship you pilot, FRED allows for much more than that)
How...Do you actually get to fly the shivan ships. It might only be for FS2 but I have FS1 and im not even finished with the campaign (Please reply)

@Santosificationable if LRed is out of the equation perhaps...shivan beams have much higher fire rate and damage.
