What does Progeria have to do with aging? Children with Progeria are genetically predisposed to premature, progressive heart disease. Death occurs almost exclusively due to widespread heart disease. As with any person suffering from heart disease, the common events for Progeria children are high blood pressure, strokes, angina (chest pain due to poor blood flow to the heart itself), enlarged heart, and heart failure, all conditions associated with aging.

@progeria123 i dont know if it's the correct name for this illness.....but progeria seems to be a greek word...and if i'm not mistaken it should be a fusion of the words προ (pro) a word which has to do with something early or first and γέρος (geros) which means old(man)...if you combine these two words you can make the word προγέρια (progeria) which mean early an old man.This could be an explanation.

You will probably live well into your 70's 80's maybe even nineties.Heck, if you are healthy, you could make it to one hundred! But as you know, when you get older, you get wrinkles, lose your hair and so on. You also die of old age because your heart and other vital organs get weak and shut down. But these brave, unfortunate children suffer this aging in about 13 years.God bless them
