Fossil beds don't need ONE GLOBAL flood. There are too many fossils in stone layers like the Karroo Formation, they could not possibly all be alive at once. "Forty" is in the Middle East often used to mean "a lot of" and doesn't necessarily mean 40 exactly, compare with the story of "Ali Baba and the forty robbers". So "forty days and forty nights" is more like "and indeterminate long period of time."

That argument doesn't hold. If there was a correlation and a causation between Islam and science you would expect the countries that have a high amount of believers to do well in science. They don't, you have a negative correlation instead.
Also note that before Islam became the way it is today, Persia was one of the areas with the highest level of science and maths in the ancient world. It isn't anymore and that is in part due to Islamic teaching which stifled science and critical thinking.

Rock layers are often divided by seasons or tides into sublayers that trees can grow through.
Are aware some sedimentary rock is not formed by water? Some sandstone is formed by desert, desert varnish by exposure to air, tillite by glaciers, etc.

The crinoid layers are so massive, they would cover all the earth with crinoids to spare. Then there's more fossils like the Karroo Formation.
Reefs can be dated by the rate of growth, radiometric dating, etc. But your "4400" years would debunk the Bible anyway: massive reefs are between sedimentary layers. That's still impossible!

@breezebro To be perfectly honest I DON'T know the truth of it for absolute certainty. I haven't seen it first hand which is the only way one could know for certainty. All I know is that supporting evidence shows that many of the bible story's are not true. Why would you need an identifying mark on Cain when there are only three known people on earth? Cain built & populated a city in only 2 generations? God drowns every man woman & innocent child animal plant & fish because he is angry? WTF !!

@breezebro I have to say it is very refreshing to to read so much truth for a change & I thank you for it. Except for one thing I don't believe we are born guilty of anything. When the children were kept from Christ by his disciples he said "Suffer the little children to come unto me for they alone shall inherit the kingdom of heaven." One of the few truth I've found in the bible. I'm one of the least innocent of all but I try my best to do the best I can for those I meet no matter color/creed

A true scientist should never make such a big mistake. Scientists go through a proper process of thinking and testings. Without such processes, he/she would be considered a hobbyist or simply a believer(a person who just wants to believe in something).

check out recent news from 1st of January 2010 - recently re-discovered cuneiform tablet describes the ark as a circular reed raft, the first time a description of the ark has been translated. checkout all major news-feeds (Guardian, telegraph etc) & the British Museum.

Actually the majority of the top scientists are non-religious.
The countries with the highest education and living standard are also the most non-religious.
The countries with the highest amount of Muslims are doing very poorly in science compared to countries with very few Muslims.
This indicates the complete opposite of what you are claiming, doesn't it?

That argument doesn't hold. If there was a correlation and a causation between Islam and science you would expect the countries that have a high amount of believers to do well in science. They don't, you have a negative correlation instead.
Also note that before Islam became the way it is today, Persia was one of the areas with the highest level of science and maths in the ancient world. It isn't anymore and that is in part due to Islamic teaching which stifled science and critical thinking.

I already said that one of the main centres for science and maths was in Persia in ancient times. However, that is not the case today, is it?
One of the reasons for this was that religion stopped the development of science in Muslim countries while in Europe religion started to loose its grip on the people and that's when science and maths finally started to flourish. After that the west started to get good education and living standard and is now way past the Muslim countries in science.

You are just replacing one "unknown" (Say; "How did animals and plants get here"?) with another unknown ("God made them").

The fundamental "explanation" given in the Qur'an is "God". Thus the Qur'an has no explanatory power at all.
Furthermore it does contain the, so called, "Satanic verses" (a.k.a "Gharaniq incident") which contradicts the idea that the Qur'an is divinely inspired. It instead points to the fact that it was solely a human work.

No, that argument doesn't hold. If you say that "not believing" in something means you think it exists, then you and everyone else believe in everything. Including square circles, pixies, Santa etc.
I do not believe in any god (there are millions of them in human history, not just one). The reason is that I have no evidence for any of them ever existing. The sound thing is not to believe such claims before evidence is shown.

The most accurate evidence of God's existing is us. We are not from monkeys or any organism that evolved over millions of years. why?
(book of Genesis) We are created according to His image. Being His image we adopt His characteristic but not the absolute characteristic of Him.
Ex. we talk,get angry, love,etc... But even of being creator we adopt it. We created many things like cars,building,robots etc....

Evolution is not "accidental". It has a random part (genetic change) and a non-random part (natural selection). Thus the change in a species 8and this is well documanted) is not random but instead one that is not selected for destruction. Over time this leads to genetic change and eventually speciation. This has been observed in nature and in the lab and you can get the info online. check it out.

Circumcision is a crime!
If you ever did that action against a grown man against his will you would be put in jail for "sexual assault" and "mutilation"! You would be doing a long stretch and have to pay a huge sum in compensation for mutilating that man.

It is illegal to circumcise a man without his consent! (obviously the same should be true for a baby). The fact that people in the USA do this to kids (and some kids get killed by that) is no reason to do it. And not a single medical association recommend this.
Female circumcision is illegal and male one should be it too (or you discriminate). Most males (~85%) in the world are not circumcised as it is a religious dogma and they live longer.

If you are wondering about circumcision, check up what the Medical Associations say. It is forbidden in the Nordic countries. Canada and Australia urge not to do it. Many courts have found it a crime etc.. There are no positive medical effects documented (despite biased research from religious people), it's a painful procedure and it causes damage and in rare cases death.
In my view anyone that does it is a child molester. (they are if they do it do girl babies, right?)
