from all the versions of La Campanella presented on youtube - the very professional ones and the very lousy ones as well - this is by far (and long) my favourite. It's just amazing how he plays. And I wonder; if your friend said that his manual sense was dull, I can only wonder how he plays when that sense of his is sharp.

Franz Liszt is difficult and after studying him I've decided that he wasn't only difficult in composition. (Skirt chaser he was...)

Ehem, but I'm see what he's saying when he said his "manual sense was off." I have had that problem a lot lately. College makes it rather complicated to play every single day. I also heard what he meant too. He's WAAAAAY better than I am though. I wanted to tackled Chopin before I got to Liszt.
