This has been my favorite locomotive since the early 1960's. I have the movies and the record of the last steam out of LA made in 1955. This is a great movie maker that deserves to be brought back to steam. I hope someday it will be rescued.

#3759 will live forever in the hearts of railfans everywhere!

Do you mean 3463? 3460 isn't surviving. 3460 was ATSF's only streamlined steamer.

I wish so too, but I think it would be cheper to get the one out back of the V&T round house runnin. Big steam is exspensive, but well worth it.

There's a video out there where they have this engine pulling the last steam revanue passsenger train on the Santa Fe, on Feb. 6, 1955

What's the video called?  I'd love to see it. I have the LP record of that last run, called "Rail Sounds, a farewell to steam on the Santa Fe".

The title is "Farewell to Steam" by Interurban Videos. This was back in 1987 when I got the video, who knows owns the rights now.
