The Crazy Gadget 49-light dash skip wasn't my first try either.
The only difference was to preserve the integrity of the low score, I had to go all the way back to start after every miss.
As for what I see here, you're standing too far to the right to start all those jumps. If you get closer to the corner to try it, you have that much less distance to cover, so it's that much easier.

Y'know, part of the reason I made this series was because I was inspired by your videos. That stuff is really impressive.
