Listening to this along with reading the history in the game encyclopedia is amazing. The slow beginning, the epic middle, and the slowed down ending mirror the the Three Kingdoms period well from the pre-rebellion days of the Han to the fall of Wu to the hands of Jin.
A somber look upon the beginnings of the Period of Disunion. There would not be hope for peace for hundreds of years afterwards. But, at least when we play Dynasty Warriors or Romance of the Three Kingdoms, we can win a happy ending.
This theme really gives me a very strong feeling. Honestly, I read the encyclopedia as well as the english comics on the Romance of the three kingdoms while listning to this and it was really like, a feeling that can't be explained. It feels like the whole story is written in one theme. And while listning to it, you can understand the story better.
Haha, this music really does rouse the nostalgy, but do realize that the three kingdoms is a work of dramatic arts. In reality, Wu, Shu and Wei were just the domains of three warlords vying for domination. There may have been subtle differences, but nowhere near the ones as interpreted by the game or the novels. All in all it was just three armies fighting and dying in an awesome way.
If there were to be a certain historical period, it'd be "Three Kingdoms" era, where I would serve under Shu... (I'm a girl). I'd do anything to get Lord Liu Bei's dream to be realized. The game series made it seem so good, but it was just as good in the REAL thing. I have no complaints for this game. Most wonderful DW game besides DW3.

Whenever I listen to this, I feel overcome, I feel as though one day, everyone will lay down thier weapons. I will see a day where Israel and Palestine shake hands, North Korea will start cooperating and will also join back with South Korea. Not to mention Japan and China stop fighting over small problems. Don't be quick to assume that physical strength is power. Lu Bu kinda forgot that. Physical strength alone (which the animal world exceeds Man) can only go so far. Power is the ability to impose your will on anything. The Bear may go, "I think you are a danger, leave or die," but it can never go, "I will change the world so it suits me and my brethren." Man is weaker only physically, but the ability to change the world is simply something far greater than any animal can conceive

It represent the tragedy of all the heroes who fought in countless battles and tried to end war upon war that disturb the peace of the land, all just to put their dreams in reality. All of DW's Encyclopedia's OSTs are usually somewhat sad and has the feeling of telling history itself, I believe that the warriors only fought for what they believed in, and time just chose with whoever was right in fighting for the right thing.

There's no such thing as peace if everyone isn't focused on it. For peace we need equal rights, equal pay etc. Otherwise people run out of jobs, people go hungry, then people commit crimes. And also with religion it's impossible to have peace.

the novel itself said that liu bei was a great man, but according to actual history, not the passages from encyclopedia liu bei wasnt as great as you think.... and cao cao wasnt as bad as you think as well..... iono why the novel hella exaggerated things
oh so ur saying liu bei wasn't the best ruler =( i kind of agree on cao cao but he is not good because it apparently said that cao cao usurped the imperial mandate from the han emperor - effectively domming the han so Liu Bei fled the capital with guan yu and zhang fei so tht he with his brothers could begin a path of virtue and end the suffering so that the Golden age of the han that once passed would be revived
from what i read from actual history, i just don't think liu bei was as great of a man as what everyone thinks, and i said cao cao wasnt as bad as you think, meaning he was still selfish and all but at least under him, his country was doing well and living in peace other than going to war. liu bei is pretty selfish too though, i mean just think about his son for a second. liu bei knew his son is useless as fuck, and yet he still wants him to be king

There's no such thing as peace if everyone isn't focused on it. For peace we need equal rights, equal pay etc. Otherwise people run out of jobs, people go hungry, then people commit crimes. And also with religion it's impossible to have peace.

the novel itself said that liu bei was a great man, but according to actual history, not the passages from encyclopedia liu bei wasnt as great as you think.... and cao cao wasnt as bad as you think as well..... iono why the novel hella exaggerated things

oh so ur saying liu bei wasn't the best ruler =( i kind of agree on cao cao but he is not good because it apparently said that cao cao usurped the imperial mandate from the han emperor - effectively domming the han so Liu Bei fled the capital with guan yu and zhang fei so tht he with his brothers could begin a path of virtue and end the suffering so that the Golden age of the han that once passed would be revived

from what i read from actual history, i just don't think liu bei was as great of a man as what everyone thinks, and i said cao cao wasnt as bad as you think, meaning he was still selfish and all but at least under him, his country was doing well and living in peace other than going to war. liu bei is pretty selfish too though, i mean just think about his son for a second. liu bei knew his son is useless as fuck, and yet he still wants him to be king
