you play it beautifully, but when you use your nail to strum those big D chords, it's too harsh... in my opinion. try using the fleshy part of your thumb. It sounds great otherwise.
Hello Melinda, I most gratefully accepted your offer of friendship via the marvellous medium of Youtube.I have sent you a reply and news from Belfast and our wonderful Classical Guitar Society here in Ireland.I look forward to any replies and perhaps a visit from you soon.Best regards for you and your family in 2009.
too much effort on maintaining the rythem up into the speed. a good point here, but lost lots of musicality and depth and beautiy of the piece by focussing only on the rythm and speed of changes, finguers of right hand needs to be more varsatile in expressions
Balamanti! The piece is well played and it takes endless hours of work to play like Melinda does. Nonetheless, to you that doesn't deserve any credit. You are not really helping but trying to look good yourself. Now you have only proven to be arrogant and religious. If you bother to answer I won't read anything more. See! I am sensitive. Not your kind of sensitive.
EliseOliva: Playing and appreciation of music are not the same things. Balamanti2 makes good points. Melinda is a good guitarist with a good tone and a lot of warmth but there is hesitation. A good critic is better than a cheerer. Playing is not essential to appreciate music.
You're a serious classical guitarist and you play with your full heart and enjoyment! Hoping you will teach guitar for new beginners or any guitar lovers in your home town - or elsewhere you live.
The interesting thing about Melinda is that all guitarists - beginners, amateurs, experienced players, public performers, professionals - can learn a lot from her just by looking at this video. Her playing is warm yet clear; her interaction with the instrument is genuine and unaffected; and that she plays from her heart is without doubt. These are the qualities to be admired by all.
arranged by me, with guitar accompaniment, it is an experimental work. One of my favorites pieces in this group is the Gimnopedie by Satie. In this song, guitars play the piano´s left hand part, and the cuatros play the right hand. I look forward uploading it soon, so you and all my friends can watch it, ok?. Greettings from Venezuela
Hi Melinda, I accepted your invitation to become friends in youtube, I am from Venezuela, and play a Venezuelan four string guitar, which is named Cuatro ("four" in spanish) and teach music, I master a children choir in my hometown, located in southern Venezuela, and also play six string classical guitar and piano. I also master a group of children who play the cuatro using the guitar's technique, in this group we play popular and classical songs

Balamanti2: If you are such a good player, why are you afraid to show your own?

1- seems from ur comment that U don't have enough sensitivity to understand how things could be better. Not much surprise from an atheists admirer.

The same comments apply here as for the
first movement! Very expressive! What
guitar are you playing on? It has a deep,
rich tone and sustain. - Athan
