  • Man, did you ever even try ear candles? Or are you are just repeating stuff you read on the internet? I've been using ear candles for years. They make your ears feel great!

  • Probably should call it an ass candle in your case.

  • you right they dont work it the wax from the cloth that is dipped in bee's wax I know coz i use to make them for LYNN'S CORNER and it is bull shit they do not work

  • gay people should not talk so much

  • @oiyabastard ignorant fucks like you shouldn't type so much.

  • @NewEnglanddur only send funny stuff

  • wax from the paper so, if I roll a paper and burn it wax pull show up, im not gonna put it on my ear

  • get a hair cut

  • Its been proven by ppl that nnever tried it them selves. The stuff of the same color of the paper isnt wax, but the yellow yucky stuff that goes with it that the texture is hard to feel and when it squishes its waxy. So u r right on one point the white stuff isnt wax its the candle and ppl that call it a hoax has never had it in their EAR. But could be dangerous if u dont no what your doin

  • @jessi1971 The theory behind ear candling is that it creates a vacuum which sucks out earwax. The problem though is that ear candles do not produce any vacuum. Additionally, most people do not have that much wax in their ear. Impacted wax is very rare and the symptoms include frequent ear infections. People who experience any comfort from this procedure are simply due to the "placebo effect" - you think it will work, so it does. The wax found inside comes from the candle, not the ears.

  • delete your youtube account -_-

  • Who trains for this, the beautician or the Otolaryngologist. No dermatologist would put his/her name to anything like this.

If you think they do give me an example.

What kind of training requires a BURNING candle to be put in somebody's ear?

Homeopathy has been around for hundreds of years but that doesn't validate it any more than leeches and bleeding.

  • what a knob!

  • wow it has been disproven that ear candles DO NOT work. I think I'll give them a shot. lol

  • They're not fake. Lol. Scientific journals? THEY DO produce a vacuum. Anything hollow that can be burned at the top, and concealed at the bottom produces a vacuum. Ear Candling isnt suppose to be done at home, because it IS dangerous and has to be done by a licensed aestheician or dermatologist thats has certification to do it. Its a big process with medical tools to check the ear canal. And its properly monitored.

  • @ixjezabelxi aestheician??????? as in beautician???

dermatologist?? they don't do this sort of thing. I think you mean Otolaryngologist or Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. No Otolaryngologist would EVER recomend this dangerous, quack idea.

You Sir or Madam obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

  • @franktbird Uhm. Yes they do. They actually TRAIN for it. Its a SPECIAL process. Not like these idiots on Youtube. With the paper plates and all that bullshit. This is my last comment on this.

1.) It has to be done by someone who has certified training.

2.) I think people need to do they're own research on how its done professionally before telling anyone they dont know what they're doing.

3.) This has been practice for decades.

Bonniekalicak is the only on here that makes ANY sense.

  • hahaha screenplay... i write too! (I'm organised though...)

  • good video man

  • EAR CANDLES DO NOT remove ear wax, they simply direct gentle warmth into the ear canal to soften the ear wax. The trick is in the facial massage which helps to stimulate blood flow to clear the sinuses thus reducing headaches and sinus pressure. NEVER have it done by someone other than a professional. I am an RPN and I can explain the scietific process behind the practise. We always use safety precautions. Good Job....

  • Thanks for posting this! Very useful information. What a scam. Amazing they still sell those darned things.Should be illegal.

  • @denisethepainter yes because everything that doesn't live up to everyone expectations should be illegal...

  • The intro was much better then the actual show keep viewers more interested

  • ....so ear candles are bad

  • What an idiot! Have fun with your cat..

  • Bside the wax, what is the dry stuff in it THEN???

Secondary effects for PHARMACEUTICAL MEDICATION(A LITTLE KILLER)

    NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

    DO NOT TAKE THE VACCIN...

  • Thanks for the heads up

  • There are scammers everywhere. In weastern medicine and in "new age" alternative medicine.

  • $103 dollars it cost your moms insurance

  • From looking around in the net the candles do not create a vacuum, on the contrary they pump hot air into the ear, which has the effect of softening the wax accumulated there, then, as time goes by the wax will move out naturally. So it seems it helps, but not in the magical way candle sellers say. Also, you should not use straight up, as in this position the melted wax from the candle itself may fall into your ear. Use them at a 10 or 15 degrees , so that only the hot air will get in...

  • ok the reason they say it doesnt work is because the government and doctors get NO money for the ear candles, they just want the tax and money so they say it doesnt work ahah, as they do a lot of herbal remedies its so they get the money not the smart botanists that come up with it, my grandma buys tons of herbal remedies (including Ear Candles) and they work! botanists seriously need more credit.

  • @boudrou1217 ear candles are a hoax im sorry but they are.. im a firm believer in alternative natural remedies to things but this one thing is just a myth

  • Hey everybody. I have never tried these. However, Ive been looking at alot of things about it and it definitely seems bad and pretty much a huge scam. Some people say, "How is the wax yellow and clumpy? That HAS to be ear wax." No it doesnt HAVE to be ear wax. The combination of the hot flame, the bees wax, paper and other , cause the wax in the bottom to appear yellowish and sometimes very dark. Check out this vid it proves they are bad/scam. youtube.com/watch?v=80uY0tXvnS4

  • ear candles are dangerous a friend of mine burnt her ear so we investigated their effectiveness. whether or not you place the candle in the ear or not makes no difference to the contents of the candle once they are burnt. scam plain and simple. anyone who doubts this fact have the guts to try out a controlled experiment of your own before you praise these stupid candle's. im amazed at how stupid people can really be. they're called ear CANDLES!!! their very description tells you they're wrong

  • Anyone who has used these knows that they work.

Everyone who says otherwise is just spreading a rumor they read somewhere else.

    Ridiculous.

  • I use the back of the pens at wells fargo, they are free.

  • Disproven that they do not work... so they do work? FALSE.

  • damn people go wild when you talk ear candles , touchier subject than the oil spil, any way what were your symptoms??

im truggling with what can be either or (wax build up, infection)

  • um...i've used ear candles multiple times and i guarantee the wax that was inside the candle after wards was not from the wax on the paper...unless white wax turns yellow and is moist and chunky after it melts. if you look at wax from a regular candle after it melts it's smoth, shiny, the original color of the candle, and doesn't smell (unless its a scented candle). the pressure in my ears always feels better after wards as well.

  • Get a hair cut.

  • O M G !!! U SUCK!!!

  • Dude. You're a dumbass. They work great. And, they don't cost $103.

  • You didn't pay $103 for that your parents did. And ear candles do work i've used them before and its not paper its a fuckin candle you retard. Try to write out what your gonna say before turning on the camera jack ass

  • wow touchy subject. its ear candling.... relax

  • im sold

  • wow i see a jedi mind trick got to you lol

  • stop itching ur pits nasty boy

  • @olivegardenkev I'm with you... no reason to scratch yourself on a video.

  • stop itching ur pits nasty boy

  • Fuck psa's!

  • Fucking hell, you Yanks are stupid.

  • Just because the wax might be from the candle itself, does not mean that the ear candle is a bad thing to do. The warmth, vacuum and the smoke themselves are good for killing an infection. Smoke is known as a purifier.

I have done ear candles twice, and am glad I did. I didn't pay someone though... that's completely unnecessary

  • Holy shit.. your ignorance is frightening. Thank god you're to stupid to be a doctor, and you won't be passing your shitty "advice" on to a larger audience.

  • Comment removed

  • faggot

  • ok guys try this lol

light any random ear candel put it into like a bottle where theres no air coming inside [jsut like your ear]

then after your done like a normal ear candle thing cut open the candle you'll see wax inside lol [maybe theres wax inside the bottle!

  • I acutally di Ear candling today and from the right ear there war 5 times more wax then from the left ear , if this "fake wax"would be from the candel there would be same amount of wax in each ear . There was also a green round thing in my left so this reallt works.. the candel is not green...

  • get a haircut punk

  • fuckin moron

  • another u tube expert just what we need

  • You can cut a paper plate and put the candle in it so wax doesn't fall in your ear.

  • It's possible, very possible. For the whole the wax is from the candle, try doing it horizontal rather than vertically. The will cancel the affect of the wax going down. Also, for those saying their's not enough suction its doesn't take much. I.E. make a 'plunger' effect w/ your hand, same idea but its constant. If it hurts while doing that which it shouldn't, see an ENT.

  • They really work, ... a lot of real ear wax comes out of my children's ears, ... it's not the white powdering stuff of the material making up the cone. The warmth melts the wax and it does draw out in a vacuum. You can see the smoke swirling out in a circle like a tornado vacuum!

    Proven the do work!

  • YOU SUCK!

  • dude i heard there's a filter to avoid the wax from falling in

  • HOMO

  • tilerenCDSIGI your ignorance is exceptional.

Why do you blather about things you know nothing about, or worse yet - lie?

Canadian health care patients receive help as soon as they report a problem.

I saw my Dr. for an ear infection just Oct. passed and had my prescript 15 minutes later and I had the meds waiting for me at the pharmacy when I arrived.

Our emergency room waits might top 3hrs for those who show up with a sniffle but if your hurt you'll be well looked after.

  • The candles I made have been burned outside the ear- alone. The insides were completely clean when they were done (same place I would put out the candle if I used it in my ear). It is sincerely HOW the candles are made. Crap materials do make dirty and wax dripping into ears. Good ones do not. I know the different in how my ears, and sinus area felt after using good ones. BIG RELIEF!

  • You don't need insurance for ear candles. and sure as h3ll wont cost you $103.00

  • nhs, yea boy!!! wooooo, yea but serioulsy the nhs sucks.

  • Only shitty ear candles will drip and burn your ear drum. Its the same difference as a bad car and a good car, which is going to serve you better? Im glad your not saying they do not remove wax from your ears, because this much is true. I am the son of the owner of the 4th largest ear candle manufacturer in the world. However, nobody has ever been hurt using our ear candles PROPERLY in all 18 years of our business. So please dont make videos if you dont know what your talking about.

  • so wat actually make its come up? my theory is that since fire needs air to "live" the flame creates a vaccum in ur ear drawing the wax out. am i right? or exactly how does it work?

  • It doesn't draw wax out of the ear. Its a stupid myth people believe because certain companies that sell ear candles lie to get people to buy their product. I will say again, IT DOES NOT PULL WAX OUT OF THE EAR ITS IMPOSSIBLE. Even if you literally put a vacuum to your ear it would burst your eardrum before it pulls wax out of your ear. So how could a small candle with no pulling vacuum pull wax out of your ear?

  • @XxShebleepxX wouldnt it draw off the path of least resistance, I.E. the oxygen that is surrounding it

  • the doll head gives u head lol

  • its a shame that you had to pay for medicine. free, universal healthcare!

  • haha if he had free healthcare he'd still be waiting to see the doctor.....just ask my mates in the uk and canada

  • Absolute crap!

tilerenCDSIGIL - Your ignorance is exceptional.

Why do you blather on about things you know nothing about.

As a Canadian, I and my neighbors see our personal Dr.s almost any moment we need them. Hospital Emergency Room waits can be long (up to 3 hours) for non emergancy issues.

  • you have to pay too....

  • Canadians still pay for their prescription. We have a private health plans to supplement what the state wont cover.

  • Sorry to say- but it depends on how the ear candle is made. It depends on the wax that was used- and the cloth the wax is dipped in. Bee's wax makes dirt and do not work. I make my own using different wax. I could feel them pulling stuff out of my ear. My sinus's were plugged up and I felt them empty out when using the candles too. It stopped my inner ear itching as well when it pulled obscene amounts of dark wax out of my ears!

  • except a candle cant generate enough pressure to "pull" out wax. It would damage your ear first. Moreover the heat rises and doesn't melt the wax. Use the cande without your ear and you'll get the same result.

  • That's ok, mommy paid for your fucking drops.

  • Chad hasn't eve gone through puberty yet so taking advice from pecker wood over here is the bad idea.

  • yeah ear candles are bad(fart noise)take it from the kid who got his info from someone who just took his word for it... saying they dont work and admitting you dont know shit other than bees wax is at the tip doesnt say anything...good job paying 100 dollars for cum in a jar...ear candles work..."i cant say it enough" really dangerous my ass it definately helps and its cheap the dr. dont want ppl to buy them cuz he losing profit...have a nice day..buy an ear candle for the whole family...guy

  • Ummm... clearly you don't know how to do any research. There's a simple experiment you can do to see if ear candles work... burn one outside of your ear and see if it still generates all that crud. It does. Plus, there's no way that fire would create enough suction to pull anything out. That is basic science, you don't need doctors to figure it out for yourself.

  • Did you know Quackwatch was set up by a partially licensed doctor who was never fully certified in his area of skill?

  • i dono anything about quackwatch but this dude has to be a flamer...110%

  • Um, actually, that is entirely untrue. Dr. Stephen Barrett practiced psychiatry for about 30 years, and his license status is now "Active/Retired" and in good standing. Do some research beyond what some quack with a bone to pick tells you.

  • Chad, you suck. I'm sorry, but I had to say it. You forced me.

  • Don't hate on ear candles

    No they do NOT work

However, they do warm the wax in your ear and break it up a bit, makes your ears seem a little clearer

Jumped on the ear candling bandwagon, so check out our ear candling video

  • cant you just have anyone candle for you? I just bought them for $5 and my girl coned me. For free!! All you do is light one end of fire and blow it out when it gets close to your ear

  • he's a fucking idiot. what he needs to do is try getting some pussy rather than wasting his time with his outrageous beliefs and false information that he has gathered from more than likely retards alike.... morons

  • We just tried the ear candle ourselves with no change. It's a scam. Good video.

  • wow! you're a faggot! your video is total fake bullshit. it's been proven that these candles do work and anyone who thinks that they don't are a bunch of fucking idiots. who would actually believe this little nerd anyways?

  • OOops to late just got done with the ear candle. Lets look at this with an open mind im not a doctor and dont claim to be one but doctors have been around what 60-70 years ear candles what more or less give or take a thousand year. I rest my case.

  • Please, even if these did originate with the Hopi, that wouldn't prove whether or not they worked. Morphine's one of the oldest painkillers but they don't use that anymore for a reason.

The Hopi have actually sued to get their tribe disassociated from this quackery and claim no prior knowledge of it. Looking at how recent a phenomena it is, I'd say it's no more than 30 years old if that. Ancient magic Indian medicine my ass.

  • Uhh.. are you really saying doctors have only been around for 60-70 years? Doctors have been around since..well.. mankind basically. I guess you mean "modern medicine" is less than a century old, which I suppose I would agree with you there. Wow. But just because something's older doesn't mean it works. 500 years ago if you had a fever, you would cut yourself to bleed out because people thought fevers were from infections in the blood. Were they right? Did their treatment work. Umm.. no.

  • "He paid 103 bucks for meds. I candle for 30. Do you understand why the Dr.s don't recommend ear candles?"

    please. your pills.

  • there has been arguments within the medical community about alt. medicine. I am a massage therapist and do ear candling. I have proven the benefits of it. I have candled over 500 peoples ears with no problems. He paid 103 bucks for meds. I candle for 30. Do you understand why the Dr.s don't recommend ear candles?

  • FDA Alert on ear candles lol if the fda is against it iam all for it

  • his hair looks stupid

  • "its not wax from your ears, its wax from the paper" like paper has wax in it.. what an idiot! it does work hes stupid

  • no ear wax is removed from your ear while the procedure is occurring. Smoke and warmth enter the outer ear canal and work to soften, loosen, and help break-up ear wax that your body cannot naturally excrete on its own. The wax is not liquefied and it doesn't drip or drain out of your ear later. Instead, its texture becomes much softer, it's color becomes darker, and it falls out of your ear 1 to 5 days following the procedure (usually while you are sleeping) just like it happens normally.

  • Ugh, I hate how people are falling for ear candles now, it's so ridiculous!!! And seriously, $100 for ear medicine??? D8< That's insane! I have problems with the wax in my ears so bad I almost start crying, but I'm glad I'm able to get rid of it at home instead of having to spend hundreds of dollars at a pharmacy!!! Good grief!!!

  • how do you get rid of it?

  • your first and third links don't work at all. The last gives a quick little 'ain't proven' explanation, but the second went on and on to disprove it. I met a woman that done this and said that a 92 year old woman tried it because she was nearly def with nothing to lose, and after said she could hear things she hadn't heard since childhood. She now does it once a month. If it's so much cheaper than $100 eardrops, why would they NOT find a way to disprove it? injuries result from everything

  • I used ear candles 4 years. infection/ tubes? dont use at the expense of med treatment. or alternative med. If you have back ground noise deafness as I do you want to consider studying up on traditional medicine, instead of letting a youngster with no training decide what you do..

I use them and will keep using them for back ground noise deafness since I dont let big business supported studies dictate to me how I handle my life Bet he dont use cloves for temp tooth pain either. 103? RIP OFF!

  • DUDE! MY EAR WAS INFECTED TOO!!!!

  • The ear candles that use Paraffin are bad. Only get ear candles that are made from 100% beeswax.

Ear candles are not a scam...you just haven't done your research

  • I am sorry?! WHAT?! There are millions of dollars being made off of ear candles. To do the procedure you need to buy the outrageously priced candles (the cheep ones are around $1... for paper and wax)

And it is too time consuming?! Do you think that they would reject a procedure if it took too long?! By your logic CAT scans and blood work tests would be rejected! The medical community does not care about time if the procedure works.

    Use some logic...

  • fuck dude. I should of watched this before I used ear candles.

The person who did it was like 'here is the wax from your ear' and some fell on the floor. She picked it up with bare hands, so now I think about it - She probably new it was wax from the candle.

Luckily didn't make me deaf though. But didn't do anything

  • Ear candles are a dangerous at worst, useless at best, scam.

  • $103 for drops, this world is crazy.

  • wow. i totally use earcandles a lot...gonna stop that now.....

  • what with the green sheet on the computer?

  • Green screen..

  • $103?

    Bloody hell

I am so glad Australia has subsidised health care...

  • nice.

have you checked your email yet??

what's with the green sheet behind you?

  • That was for the "toxic" music video. The lighting I had made it look like a desk full of crap so I covered it.

  • Funny - i thought about that i-pod aswell .

There are a whole lot of great mp3 players , for a fraction of what Apples i-pod will go for.

  • OMG PAPER DOESNT HAVE WAX

  • Please read any of the four links then.

It is not just paper, there is a coating.

  • hey bud just wondering whe you had ur ear infection did it feel like your ears were constantly popped cause im havin a problem with my ears and they are feeling constantly popped cheers

  • lol i have tryed war candles but i burnt my hair a little.

  • It's been disproven that it doesn't work? Haha, I think you mean proven. Thanks for the ear candles tip. I had never heard that.

  • Holy crap what a rip off, sorry you had to pay so much Chad. Hope your feeling better. Peace

  • Wow, I found this very imformative... but I've never even heard of ear candles..

  • $103? Has this got some of the rarest snake-bite in it? If it hasn't? Take it back, and tell them that you want some of that snake bite in your medicine bottle. If they ask why? Tell them it is to stick up your ass, because $103 for that bottle, is causing you serious pain in the Butt. I think that is why Chad, our hero, supported Obama in the Election, to bring a Healthcare system to the States ( Hope ).

  • Yeesh. Ear candles sound scary. And kind of stupid.

But haha I DEFINETLY know how frusturating stupid health issues can be. This is the second time I'll be getting a surgery on my tooth PLUS I have to go through all sorts of crap that they put in my jaw or whatever... UGH. Anyway. I know how it feels. :P

  • chad never answers my question of what it feels like 2 be perfect... arg.

  • Yay for Canada and free healthcare! =D

  • OMG that sounds so dangerous, they don't sell them here, but thanks for the info. WOW

    XO

  • My parents almost had me do ear candles once, but they decided not to after we had bought a kit.

BTW, you always wear the most amazing t-shirts!

  • in the UE that would have cost 30 dollars.

  • damn! I have never heard of ear candles. That sounds terrifying!

  • that is so stupid. how would the wax get into the little tubey thing if your head is tilted to the side?

  • I used to get ear infections a lot! my brother told me it would help if I put orange juice in it, so i did.. didn't help. And the doctor had to inspect a very sticky ear.

p.s. i was a kid lol... not.. wouldnt do it now..

    sigh, stop.

  • Ear candle? This is the 1st time I've heard about this. Elsewhere ...well ...but into the ear... omg that's pervert! lol

  • Comment removed

  • well its because of the place i work;

    i vial of botox = 3ml about $4000

the most expensive drug ive ever handled was the size of a quarter that cost about $250,000.

  • $103? Shit, son, you'd wanna hope it works!

Also, try chewing gum to help decongest your ear. And blowing up balloons.

The movement is a great natural ear-decongestant. My doctor prescribed it to me years ago, and I swear by it lol

  • I had a roommate that got a stopped up ear for a long time and he used ear candles. They never did work. After a month or so his cleared up. My ear got stopped up one time & I couldn't take it & went to the Dr.. It was wax he cut it out. I asked why I had such build up like that, I do clean them, he said shit happens. Then he said it just happens sometimes. Gladd it didn't cost $103, I got off with just $35 co-pay. No meds. Just pain for a while.
