Mystery reopened? No. Bizarrely, the less-noticed Oxford University press release on the same topic was entitled “International radiocarbon dating experts confirm the Turin Shroud is a medieval fake” and, though including Professor Ramsey's very proper willingness to conduct further research,

The results of 1988 radiocarbon dating of the Turin Shroud are very debatable (M. Riani et al., “A Robust Statistical Analysis of the 1988 Turin Shroud …”, Frascati 2010)

and the body image is not yet reproducible

(G. Fanti & R. Basso: “The Turin Shroud: Optical Research in the Past, Present, and Future”, Nova Scence Pub. Inc. 2008).

The mistery remains but the Turin Shroud could be the “photo” of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
