Three stars for this guy. He started off right. But China is not by any stretch the model of successful capitalism. China gets its oil through internationally illegal arms trade deals with the Sudan.
There simply is no fair way to get as much oil as these industrialized countries demand.
I agree. He did start off right but blaming the price of oil on Bush is just plain wrong. He doesn't consider the stretched refining capacity and increase in demand. And as for China, there's no way the US could emulate China because they don't have the same competitive advantages.
Don't get me wrong. I hate Bush, but there's plenty of other reasons to hate the guy.
Yes, very true. I also think that illegal wars that kill thousands of innocent people and make refugees of millions more are wrong for more than just 'economic factors' (which is apparently the primary reason this guy thinks it was wrong).
Some what Scheer says sounds like criticisms of John Kennedy, regarding tainted election results and trying to prove himself once in office (the Bay of Pigs fiasco and Vietnam come to mind).
Colonial expeditions are so passe' for the 21st century, if only the united states had listened to their elders (Germany, France, ect) before making these horrendous mistakes.

To be fair, very rarely have France and Germany shown more restraint or better judgment over the last 100 years than the U.S. has.
