It is possible to determine what resolution a game runs at by counting the pixels on aliases. There have also been released screenshots at native resolution of 960x540.

First of all they are not the publishers. Microsoft is.

The video which the screenshots were taken from was downscaled to 960x540. You can't count pixels from those screenshots. You really should do some research before claiming such strong conclusions... Even though if the game really was sub-HD, it would still look ridiculously beautiful. I really don't wanna argue with you =)

It would have been fun if this was ingame minigame, let's say Alan Wake has a freaking bad dream. So 10-15 minutes of this crazy gameplay with unlockable items such as a a hideous lumber jacket and a killah looking double edged axe.I would find this a fun diversion from the normal storyline.
