The distortion world and the real world are basically DNA and without both parts of the dna it wouldnt of worked.

He wasn't sent there, it created to keep "earth" in balance, like Dialga's and Palkia's worlds, and he rules over it.

There are many things stated that have further meaning.

If you think about with something for a long time, you start to grasp at hidden meanings that might have been put in. Sure, he's been stated as antimatter, but does he serve a greater purpose? Is there a deeper meaning behind it? Nobody knows for sure aside from those in Game Freak. We have a 'God', and there seems to be a lot of opposites in the Pokemon universe already, so why not an opposite to a 'God'?

Let us see - Arceus is above all things in matter, Giratina is above all things in anti-matter.

Giratina is violent and wants to destroy, where as Arceus wants to create, and likely is kind.

They are opposite in enough ways to warrant such a consideration.

It still needs to enter a cacoon, which is what is needed for a drastic change. Chances are, if Giratina did enter a cacoon, when it would come out... chances are Arceus would need more than a bit of help to remove it from the world.

AKA Base Stat Total would probably exceed 900.
