Huh? People still play it. More than 1000 players at any given time and it often peaks at 2000 players. No one should have any problems finding players.

Killing Floor runs very well even on some older machines. And you can always tweak the graphic settings in-game to get better performance if needed.

Pistol casings come out of the right side of the gun in a pistol usually, but some come out the top or left. Casings seems to come out of the top here.

This is probably off topic, but do the bullet casings really go flying all over the place when you shoot a pistol? I thought they were designed to come out in one direction, to avoid hitting the skin or something.
