Rofl shes arguing against interest-free student loans. Yea like any kind of universal student allowence would even help someone with a 10% pa interest rate for 30k (which is a normal interest rate btw). Say good by to that 20k and hello to 15K per year.
This is a HUGE issue. Student debt blights the life of young people. They then often can't buy homes or start families or save money for many years after graduating....while the baby boomers who paid $120 / year to go to Uni passed the laws that brought this about. Inter-generational theft.
Every time I see Turei, she is wearing some terribly gaudy neck charm. It is almost offensive.
