Good music, great graphics, good gameplay, but lets be honest. castlevania should NOT be remembered as using the same game type as metroid. I WANT THE CLASSIC 2-D STAGE BY STAGE BACK!!!

@psycholink44 The thing about stage by stage is that there is absolutely no exploration in it.

You simply keep moving forward till you reach the end and kill the last boss,like Metal Slug.

With Exploration you get to find hidden items,enjoy Dracula's castle waaay more,hidden rooms,backtracking,leveling up..all that good stuff that pulls you back for more.

@SolBuster im saying castleania 2 games like are ok and the exploration ideas are ok, but lets see here,castlevania 1,3,4,rondo of blood,bloodlines,X, are the first castlevania games (not counting castlevania 2) and use the stage-by-stage and it suits it better than metroidvania IMO

The old games were fine.The stage by stage was cool and all.

But a next gen Castlevania game cannot be stage by stage.

Making an official Castlevania stage by stage game now-a-days with current gen graphics and the great possibilities of the PS3/360 won't really make a CV game that impressive.

Stage by stage is fine,but it also gives it that "Arcade" feel to it.

It won't be as "epic proportions" as exploring Dracula's Castle in explorations.

Also,like I said on my previous post,stage by stage should be left for hand held.

I know you all adore the classics,but many people hated the ackward stage-by-stage character movement.Every character moved and jumped like they had a stick up their ass.

Sorry to sound like a broken record,but a next gen stage-by-stage CV just won't be as "epic" as a.....let's say.....a Symphony of the Night 2.

The song is great, not so good if you compare it with another great songs from the series, but what really rules is that it's the first song on dracula's castle but it starts to play once you enter at the main garden i think, and when you think the game is almost over suddenly you are just at the middle of it.
