  • Starving, DPRK? — ...I have to admit that it happened but, currently, what you see when Googling Earth over DPRK is prepared just to feed the Google community. Guess what: what DPRK lets you see on its surface is for you to have some fun; the black-outs are for you to wonder what is going on underground...—Surprised?

DPRK is prepared to survive!—If US americans (imperialist capitalists) bomb their dams, US americans will become short of rice to eat! Those 50 million starving will grow to 100M.

  • It´s funny to see how capitalist boys/girls jump on the stupidity wagon to visit DPRK for the sole purpose of insulting their leader Kim Jong Il! They don´t understand that they have been brainwashed by their governments´ agencies and Google, and indoctrinated to dig for shit when they arrive at DPRK. When they arrive at DPRK, they try to play rich, and they can´t even wonder that, back in their countries, their moms and restaurants prepare their meals with rice imported from DPRK!—Surprised?

  • ONE OF THE GIRLS MISSED HER SPOT -_- R.I.P

  • To truly get an understanding of the Mass Games and North Korea rent the documentary "A State of Mind". It follows two North Korean gymnasts training for a spot on the Mass Game stage and it is breathe taking!!! I found it on Netflix

  • only something this coordinated could come out of oppression... it is truly breathtaking, but at what price?

  • this is really amazing all we hear is the bad things of dprk but this is beautiful

  • These events are beautiful, but they are nothing, compared to what you can see, using Google Earth. Are you people all sleeping? You don´t need to go to DPRK to see it all over in great detail.

Use Google Earth Pro: devide the country in narrow strips, and follow them using the "line path tool", or just follow the river streamlines to set your pathway. Add some points at the highest land picks, in mountainous terrain, to pass over; it is an awesome experience about a country so much lied about!

  • @jsnovais1000 Yes, by using Google Earth, you can see loads of prison camps, luxurious villas used by Kim Jong Il and party cadres, and dilapidated buildings for normal people. I would, however, find the Mass Games more beautiful than the torture chambers of the DPRK's gulag.

  • @shzywansui Hi, man, show-up your face; don´t hide! —why don´t you use your real name or go back to your country and stay there?

Do you know what? —I am glad that DPRK has prison camps and that they keep their criminals there; by the way, if it were possible I would ask Kim to take all criminals of my country and keep them there too, but, to do that, they would have to multiply their prison camps by more than100, and they have other priorities... Take a hike or, get lost! —You know I know you!!

  • @jsnovais1000 To condone torture is to be a torturer, and to condone murder is to be a murderer. Shame on all the ignorant and/or cruel-hearted people out there who support the barbaric prison system run by Kim Jong Il's monarchic government.

  • @shzywansui, you are implying that I am something that I am not and I never was: I am not a torturer, I am not a murderer, I am not a liar and I am not running away or hiding from anything; are you? — why don´t you show your face? — are you an impostor?

I believe what I see, not what others want me to believe, like it is in the case of Google Earth in this context, about DPRK country.

From what I see, G.W.Bush must be your idol—Damn, for everything that it means, by far, I prefer Kim to Bush!

  • @jsnovais1000 Impostor of what? You are making random assumptions without any factual basis. Bush was a terrible "leader" who imposed imperialist policies on countries across the globe, and who condoned the use of torture and extraordinary rendition (not that other American "leaders" haven't). Still, Kim is obviously far worse than Bush. You said that you are glad that the DPRK has its prison camps, and that you would like people sent there. Anyone with that opinion is as good as a torturer.

  • this is pretty cool

  • Nice Cauldron Lighting Just Like The Olympics Opening Ceremonies!

  • At 6:56 North Korea is depicted on the map much larger than it really is...LOL. The amount of propaganda is just unbelievable.

  • it's all brain wash...

  • The human screen in the back is controlled by school children holding a large book of coloured cards. Some of these cards are printed so the overall picture is smooth instead of pixel-like, so instead of the card being one solid colour, some of the cards could have (for example) the corner of someone's eye, the other a part of a flower.. if you get the drift xD I just wanted to clear up how those insane pictures were made up, and believe me, I didn't think such smooth pictures were possible!

  • What are the masters of ceremony say in Korean?

  • actually, the people holding up the colored cards for the screen are highly trained and disciplined school children...

i read it at wikipedia.. ^_^

  • Bizarre.

  • It´s awesome! I love North Korea! I wish I could be one of them!

  • @jnovais2

Why not go and visit? Meanwhile, have a look at this, "Welcome to North Korea by Peter Tetteroo and Raymond Feddema / Documentary Educational Video" on YouTube here.

  • @jnovais2

Ok, let me start by kicking you in the face.

  • @tubedweller5 Hey! who are you to kik me in my face?

Look, I don´t care if you are dweller of the tube... Don´t try that or you won´t have time to be sorry!...

  • @jnovais2

Well, it's just a wake up call, that's all. You might want to take a closer look at this "paradise" on earth...or maybe you're just another one of those people that place no value on life? :/

  • @jnovais2 No, you don't.

  • @kittengirl09 Yes, I would!

  • Fantastic!

  • man, this is so weird.

  • It's pretty :]

Agree with others, it's amazing how one guy can make all these people do whatever he wants.

I'm just confused on how they get the footage, I thought it was banned or whatever.....

    But it sucks cock that they're all slaves ;__;

  • There they are expecting a cheer. All are not disappointed to be sober. Tomarrow they will find tragedy.

  • If one of them slips them and there whole family will be executed.

  • communist or not, I wish our country had those shows. hehe

  • You know that the screen in the back is 20,000 people holding up colored cards, its amazing

  • @Hmsheen10 It must be more than that. That would be a square display of only 140 odd people on a side. I'll bet it's much more. Like ... on the order of 100 or 200 thousand people. .... Think of all the time wasted practicing for this. I'll bet once the North Korean regime falls 10's of thousands of ex NorK's will be on personal missions to assassinate Andrew Lloyd Webber.

  • @Hmsheen10 Are you sure? The transitions look too smooth to be humans with cards.

  • @thedjudjubeast

well it aren't cards actually, according to a nephew and his girlfriend (who've seen those mass games IRL) it are books with coloured pages and it are probably more then 20.000 people on that background :P

    but it's still amazing! =D

  • @jbentje That's correct, they're books. There's no way they could have such an elaborate display with two-sided cards.

  • @Hmsheen10

    that not a LED Light!!

  • These Mass Games suck! Down with Kim Jong Il!

  • Absolutely breathtaking!! Yet, I don't feel comfortable about the whole thing.....feels oppressive, pardon the pun!

  • it is the best show of the world, that i´ve ever seen!

    hugely great, unique, amazing!

  • look at all these poor slaves, they look so unhappy when they are forced to do these slave games.

  • It's still fucking ridiculously impressive. And opressive. Still, impressive. I'd give up my mroals for a few hours if I had tickets to this shit.

  • lolz....at 5:30 somebody make a mistake at bottom right.

  • Wow amazing music and cartography..

its a 21cetury strength of human

  • strength of ONE human to prove he can make 80,000 humans do whatever the fuck he wants them to do.

    that's what's amazing

  • Actually there's nothing amazing about it, rather it is quite common. In one way or another we all do the same, by recognizing our current overlords as legitimate. Without us thinking on some level, that the few hundred people in parliament have a right to tell us what we can and cannot do, they don't stand a chance against millions of citizens.

All it takes is disinformation and force. Same goes for us, just on a different scale.

  • communismis a mindset that needs to be overcame by generations... and I agree, they are all brainwashed into thinking that they are living life when in reality there are starving people. People dieing because of this shitty regime and its propaganda like this that makes the world see north korea in a more happy atmosphere... All this money spent on these games could go to better causes... HONESTLY!

  • What a strange country.

  • ?????????????????????

  • do you realize how great shape you would have to be in?

  • yep ..who will collapse first - USA or North Korea?

have to say...Zionist jews will do a dirty job in America....:-(((((((((

  • The collapse of America will be a joyous day. If North Korea collapses i will weep till i die. Juche Sasang Manse

  • North Korea.....Liberal/Democrat fantasyland

  • The collapse of North Korea will be a joyous day! The mass hypnosis of the world' largest prison will soon end.

  • man they would na be let into the counrty

and who would want to go there?

  • hate north korea (not the poeple, the government)

but i have to go there one day and see this, the whole world should see this

hopefully when they have a better government they will still have this

  • If they did have a more democratic government, they wouldn't be able to pull this off, at least not at this scale. The only reason they can is because the government has the controls that it does.

  • They might for fun. They need a more democratic socialist government, not this creepy isolative Juche mass worship thing that they have going on lol

  • that is true. but still, the mass games are pretty interesting. i cannot believe that so many people would go so far just to glorify the leader.

  • mean either haha

well it would be like if a major religious figure was alive, poeple would probably be doing the same thing. I feel bad for these peopel, they shouldnt have to be raised to worship someone like this

  • Today at school we watched a documentary about it. One of the girls who danced in it last time was all talking about 'I hope I can dance for our real father, our leader.'

They dó worship their leader so much, they don't know anything else I guess... I feel very sorry for them =(

  • This is amazing. Does anyone know where to find a higher-quality version of this broadcast?

  • north korea video wall

  • They use that warbly voice whenever they talk about the Leaders. In this instance, they're talking about the "Great General" and the founding of the Korean Workers Party.

  • The warbly voice REALLY creeps me out.

I assumed thats the way koreans talked

i didnt know that, interesting, thanks for sharing comrade

  • 1. what is the future of these children?

just perform in mass game and get a free colour television and continue to be indoctrinated by official TV station??

    2. same idea brought by a film--"fever pitch/ the perfect catch"

they love the so-called "great leaders", but...do these "leaders" love the children??

why the children continue to obey the leaders without any suspicion?!

  • 2. That is what they live doing. How can you know about the anything if nobody ever tells you? To them, North Korea IS the world and I doubt they will ever get to see past that for a while.

If you were told that lets say the color green was an evil color throughout your life, then you would believe that green was evil throughout your life.

You already have a culturally impacted state of mind. Think about scary movies. You were literally trained to be scared of those things. Think about it.

  • Quite a spectacle. But I wonder if these people can actually beleive in the ideology when daily life for them is nothing but struggle and oppression. They are taught to blame the west for their problems. Surley you cannot replace food and heat with flashy displays and miltary parades. It's shocking to see so many people existing under the heel of the jackboot still in the 21st century.

  • wow!!!

    tv version of mass game

    so great are you!!

  • the first song is Song of General Kim Il Sung

  • hey what's with the weird speaking in the beginning? do all N-Koreans speak like that? or is it some kind of show-talk...

  • Praising Great Leader Comrade Kim Il-Sung perhaps? At least they mentioned "Mt. Paektu".

  • its the show talk. normally, they dont talk like that. but north korean dialect IS somewhat different from south korean.

  • Are the people in the beginning of the video the 2 North Korean newscasters? They certainly do sound like them...

  • 5:29 someone at the bottom right corner tripped.

  • uh oh... I wonder what happened to him. Hopefully he's all right...

  • headshot!

  • at 6:55?

"42 state visits, travel distance covering 522,000 kilometres~"

  • 522,000 kilometres????????

  • Why don't rich states add a Mass Gymnastic category to the Olimpic games and put this show to shame? The show is amazing, but rich countries ought to be able to do it better. The leaders of the country suck, but the show is amazing.

  • Mass Gymnastics goes completly against the "values" that the western leaders want their subjects to hold. Individualism in everything makes it a lot easier to control the population. See, if your always infighting then you cant get organised. So no mass gynastics for you.

  • This is really great! Thanks for posting it.

  • Of course it;s mass propaganda.. but that doesnt make it any less amazing!

  • Rather this sort of propaganda than the "AMAZING NEW CLEANER. EVEN PEOPLE ON THE STREET AGREE: YESS IT CLEANED MY HOUSE LIKE NOTHING ELLSE!"

A.k.a. commercials a.k.a. capitalist propaganda. But then again I'd choose the US over North Korea any day.

  • I agree

  • Yes, forcing children to practice a physically demanding propaganda ritual such as this for months on end with NO OPTION OF DECLINING TO PERFORM is so much better than a TV commercial in the states. Heaven forbid an ad agency makes a fucking dollar, in the meantime lets put 100,000 preteen children through hell in our already desperately impoverished country so they can look pretty for our Leader-God.

  • GLORY TO NORTH KOREA!±!!!!!

  • Well done sonofsarek, such a mature and well thought out arguement. But next time, ask your parents permission before coming onto youtube to shit-talk.

  • At 6:55, anybody know what the writing in the background means?

  • 외국방문 54회

    거리 52만2000KM

I think they're saying 54 foreign nations are attending, from distances of up to 520,000 kilometers.

  • Its a shame that you are all so wrapped up in your countries' media propoganda that you cannot simply appreciate this amazing art form as such without making some negative comment on DPRK society. The truth is, you dont know shit about DPRK. More importantly, the heroic people of DPRK dont give a shit what you think about them.

  • Don't insult people whom you don't know. I don't hate North Korean's leaders because of propaganda, but because they don't allow their people to get out of their country. When your own guards have to shoot your own people so they don't run from your country, your country is shit and you are a dictator. Full stop.

The show is beautiful enough, but not because of the leader or anything. Because of the amazing hard working gimnasts.

  • also because they are forced into perfection, its not beautiful when these children dont go to school but do gymnastics all day.

  • beautiful, absolutely beautiful

  • although their leader is a shitbag this is still amazing to watch! great performance, thanks for uploading!

  • I can't believe that the background is little kids trained in school that holds the colored boards!!

  • and your average american crowd can't even pull off a real mexican wave...

and yeah, this isn't forced- it's actually a real honor to participate. check out the bbc documentary 'state of mind'... of course, the entire society could be seen as wack, but idk, i think what they can accomplish is cool.

  • the big pics isn't made by machine. it made by pure man labor. a looot of people are raising colored boards. a board is a pixel of the picture !!!

  • i wonder why people in north korea talk like that... maybe they're hungry. the drills are amazing. kinda like drum corps minus the instruments and add a couple thousand people with so much discipline... too bad their president is a total douche.

  • what the hell?? Their president is the biggest hero mankind has ever seen!

  • at 5:28 someone messed up, prolly his or her family was killed for the mess up

  • I laughed at first about your comment Turtle.. but then I realizes it was probably true and I stopped laughing... now I'm laughing again. I'm a horrible person.

  • Its crazy how they do this!! Very strict training, all those pictures moving in the backround are people moving picture cards!! It is a marvel to watch no doubt about it! However, all those people are under the complete control of the government. . .Do you think a western nation could ever get this many people to do this performance. . .not unless they were forced to do so!

  • Just goes to show that if anyone ever goes to war with South Korea, they'd be fucked instantly.

  • Ooops, I meant north korea haha.

  • America Could Learn something

  • What could America learn from North Korea?

  • Order, mass direction. Unification.

  • Ever done any volunteer work in your community? How do you feel about being 'volunteered'?

  • discipline and respect

  • This looks glorious! Where do I sign up? And I heard that leader guy was pretty awesome too!
