It's a true shame the Dutch league doesn't have the same stature as the Premier League, La Liga or Serie A. I'm a Man United fan to the core, but PSV Eindhoven and Ajax are a close second. It's just a shame Eredivisie cannot retain their talent who depart for higher leagues. If the Eredivisie held more held more, teams like the 1995 Ajax would be replicated every year and would compete in the Champions League more often. Hup Holland, Hup Eredivise and Hup Ajax.

@AeonXero Yeh it's a damn shame! Especially considering players like Van Basten, Rijkaard, Bergkamp left just years before.But this exodus started in 1974 when Cruyff set the tone. What we Ajax fans and total footbal lovers all over the world can be proud of though is that Barcelona of today (Arguably the best team ever) is completely based on Cruyff and Ajax philosophy. Barcelona is the new Ajax, now it;s the turn for the Dutch national team to claim back the honour, in the next 10 years.

@AeonXero You are totally right my English friend. But the key factor in this is money. Our clubs simply do not have the financial capacities to compete with the big European clubs, eventhough we still have, along with barca and man u, the best youth academy in the world.
